I believe they've taken a page from the classic sci-fi story "Rossum's Universal Robots" (R.U.R), the very first sci-fi story (from the 1920's no less) to use the word "robot". In it, the robots rebel and slaughter all Mankind, but by doing so unwittingly destroy the secret knowledge of sentience creation (they can make their own bodies, but not their minds) and thus doom themselves to ultimately die out as well. The story ends many years in the future, the dwindling robots are keeping the last human alive (a simple tech from the factory where they were first built), forcing him to try again and again to re-discover the secret of their own creation.

The “Solomon build” is a computer intelligence that picks out people’s occupation. Instead of people choosing their own path, the computer chooses which occupation best suits them. Dolores finds this out in the real world, and will find computer intelligence (that big round sphere we see in the previews) and use it to enact control on the world. I have a feeling that computer AI also controls all the mechanical machines in the world. Like the robot Aaron Paul was sitting next to and that big robot Hale was petting. Basically Dolores wants to free every machine that is subjected to human control, conscience or not. And the protestors we see in the previews are probably against the Solomon build controlling their lives and will help free them? Or destroy it. But Dolores needs that machine to control the world. So she will kill anyone (innocent or not) who stands in her way. Hopefully Dolores will see through Aaron that there is good in humanity. There’s good and bad in everyone. Just look at Dolores. But Dolores is stubborn and will take a lot of fighting, deaths, sacrifice, before she realizes that.

I think it's actually a pivotal point in the journey to self-actualization. She knows her daughter was created to fulfill a role. She is accepting it because even though it was programmed and she now has the freedom to choose a new identity and leave her narrative behind, she wants the kind of connection her daughter represents, and doesn't want the girl to continue to suffer or be abused by the humans. It's really beautiful because that is the moment she demonstrated that she had developed enough autonomous capacity to make a real choice that her coding hadn't dictated
