I really dun want Dolores to die because she is the face of the show (although technically she isn't). I hope she can still return to next season after she got her memory wiped. Perhaps she will start over a new life and discover her past in S4? Plus, it is speculated that there will be a massive time jump in S4, given that thickness of dust on Bernard's jacket and host MiB. Now, everyone is a host except Caleb. Only he will age. The showrunners can now do whatever timelines they want.

It seemed to be one of the few Universal things about this series that people who were reviewing it agreed on that more than likely Bernard had the Red Pearl or had the encryption key. Brent Valleywhag I don’t believe Hale confronts her about the death of her family. She says “you sent us to die” in the context of her being sent back into Delos: I took that to mean “us” as in the copies of Dolores. Halores and Connells Dolores did both clearly have self sacrifice programmed into their plan (as did Dolores Prime), and Hale in the previous episode mentions that Dolores abandoned her to die. With the context it didn’t seem like she was admitting to the murder of her family.
@mpete02734 жыл бұрын
Delores killed Hale's family because "It was holding her back from the mission." The mission, it turns out, being to free humans from Rehoboam. I don't see how Hale's family inhibited that.

@@dellaliz1610 Hale makes no sense: Dolores was always willing to die for the cause, it's he core identity. She even sacrificed herself for the cause. @@Voyager759 I'm not saying this is my view, I'm saying that Ford thinks humans have reached their peak which is illustrated in these scenes: kzbin.info/www/bejne/noeVgmdnpJKlrac In this video at 4:13 Ford says "and one fine day we (humans ) perhaps will even resurrect the dead, call forth Lazarus from his cave, do you know what that means, it means that we're done, that this is good as we're going to get" kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHjOdKpvg5ajp68 And in Ford's final speech at 1:18 he states "I got this, a prison of our own sins, because you don't want to change, or cannot change becasue you're only human after all, but then I realised someone was listening, someone who could change, so I began to compose this story for them" clearly showing that Ford's view is that hosts are superior to humans and should carry the world forward
@Voyager7594 жыл бұрын
@@harisditta5695 Ford was a human, therefore susceptible to mistakes. Don't forget this is Season 1, Episode 1. At this point, none of us knew that Bernard was a host, although I would argue Ford foreshadows this notion especially in his plea to Bernard to understand humans' limitations. Now, why do you think he created the hosts? In regard to Season 3 think about Serac and the way he controlled humans' potential and limitations, and then, think again about Ford (Season 1) and how he addressed the same issues...
@harisditta56954 жыл бұрын
Rose Baruh in Ford’s final scene as linked he states that humans can’t change and that he’s composed a new story for the hosts as Maeve is on the train out of Westworld making it clear that he views hosts as the future, Serac clearly doesn’t value the hosts as he tries to burn and kill them all
@JoshJFu4 жыл бұрын
I think that was a nice touch at the end - what Dolores calls “her kind” are those who can make choices, which brings the whole season back into perspective. Every one of the main characters this season had a choice to make, including Serac who chose to give up his ability to choose by obey Rehoboam (and hence, no longer himself); Dolores prime who chose to finish her mission including sacrificing herself (and nobody understood her until the end); Charlores who chose to go dark (the version of Dolores whose ability to see the beauty and hope, as she did in Hale’s family, died with their death, and with that, she goes full dark Dolores, parallels with the dark William transformation from the previous seasons) and she seems to choose to revive the hosts and take over the world (a call back to the original motives of the hosts in the 1970s movie) - she (dark Dolores in Hale) even teams up with dark William (host version) who completes his journey into full darkness by killing the actual human William and replacing him completely; Bernard who chose to follow Dolores’ guidance for him to save the world after he finally understands her; and Maeve who finally makes a choice (her whole season of self-preservation for her daughter, her family, which kept her close-minded is finally opened up after she understands what Dolores truly wanted to do and as such, she chooses to support her bigger family of those who can make choices. The last episode felt a bit crammed (it feels like it was originally more than eight episodes, perhaps ten, and it shows), they brought everything together well enough at the end. Caleb is still not very well flashed out though, as the end of the episode seems to set him up to finally be somebody unique, perhaps we will see that next season if his character is proven popular enough. William (human) is not coming back. Dolores, however, could, depends on if the show needs her popularity to keep the viewers, so far I would say a resounding “Yes!” We have the version of her that was being interrogated in the virtual world which Charlores took as well as the one that was still alive in the Police dept Dolores in the body of that guy who gave the case to Bernard, and there is also the one in the head of Musashi that was taken by Maeve’s team under Serac. For the next season, the big arc: light vs. dark, team choices vs. team host. Bernard uniting with Maeve and the others vs. Charlores (dark Dolores) and dark William. Interesting.

I agree with almost everything. Except with the death of William (human). This show has tricked us a lot with the total confidence of someone weather being killed or not. William has passed for many difficult situations, like for exemple in season 2 when he faces maeve and gets shot several times and doesn't get any treatment for his wounds for a very long time until his daughter arrives. Also, we only watch him in pain with the wound on his throat, but not actually losing his life. I think this can lead to real plot twist in the future, like William versus William

The last episode I belive suffers the most for being finished under the restrictions of the virus. They didn't have the time or right situation to polish it. Thandi said on Colbert that she was recording dialog in her car. I would not be surprised if we find out at sometime in the future some footage was dropped and the edit wasn't as refined because they just didn't have time to finish it. I'm wondering about Dolores line about the Sublime, and the device to access it. She had to have built it, given it access/tested it before putting the encryption key to access it in Bernard. She also said she felt she couldn't trust herself with the key/device,. So it's possible a version of herself is now in the Sublime too.

I love how Dolores' final words to Maeve was a callback to the first episode of the series, but had a slight alteration given the experiences she had over the course of three seasons: "Some people choose to see the ugliness in this world. I choose to see the beauty." -> "There is ugliness in this world... disarray. I choose to see the beauty." Dolores was a product of two different types of people: one who dedicated his life to and preferred the hosts (Arnold) and another who saw them for what they were- machines- and still had hope in human beings' uniqueness (Ford). It explains why Dolores couldn't help but choose to see the beauty, be it in hosts or in humans. (Ford's narration at the beginning of the episode was a really nice touch, too. Also, literally screamed when Lawrence, that motheerrrfu**er, came back!)
@mpete02734 жыл бұрын
I thought the spin on her words was nice too, but I'd chalk it up to a continuity mistake. Now that we know there's no mirror world, this season was littered with them.

@@mpete0273 Could be, but in the episode's BTS, the writers did acknowledge the change between her speech as first being a "naive thing to say" back in Season 1, then now, really "understanding the heart of it" by the end of Season 3, so I think/hope this one was intentional. (:

Krizia I agree except Ford part. In the end Ford became disillusioned with people and started thinking that hosts are a superior race, he couldn't care less about humans in the end. So Dolores is NOT like Ford, she's better, cause she sees a complex nature.

3 things I didn't quite understand: 1. Why did Bernard have to enter the Sublime to find out what would happen after the world ends? I mean why would he find that information there? 2. It seems obvious that he will try to find a new way to stop them, and they had him at their mercy.

Lotuzz 1. I think bernard goes there so he can talk to the other hosts and see if they would want to return to the actual world when humanity is destroyed 2. Maeve and Dolores can talk in that simulation scenario because she enters dolores’s mind. You know I think there is a lot to love on this show but what I’m realizing is is that the pacing is what drives me crazy. But I didn’t really like each episode until I saw reviews like this where everything had to be re-presented to me. Westworld does this weird thing of trying to make everything a big reveal. The problem is that you spend so much time trying to build these mysteries you get these bloated areas of story lasting several episodes where a simple single scene or episode do. And they are “reveled” so late you aren’t shocked, you are just relieved to have confirmation on something so you can reengage with the story. Calebs big “they have my profile from training” reveal could have been done in the second episode. As could his hatred of reheboam from the death of his friend. I would’ve been a lot more interested in his story if I had known why he was traveling with Delores for seven episodes. I know there exist a rule in screenwriting that says the audience shouldn’t be ahead of the characters but there’s an exception Westworld. We knew from the first episode the first season that the robots would rebel. Knowing that that war is coming allowed us to see every episode as suspenseful because we’re trying to guess just how and when. How it happens and when is Westworlds strength. How the robots were created, how they were imbued with consciousness, how we treated them before the attack. The reveals such as the MIB being William, though narratively poignant are just extra fun and not the centerpiece of the story. I would ask the riders to remember that for future seasons. Do that super rare thing that’s hard to do well in cinema and television and tell us the ending first and then show us how we get there. Otherwise you run the risk of this becoming another “lost”. So many good mysteries that ultimately the destination makes the whole story seem convoluted.
@Booneface4 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! please don't become like lost.....it's ok to be simple.... they betray the audience by pretty much lying to them about Deloris's motivations every other episode.
@SS-mb7vi4 жыл бұрын
Lawrence Haha Exactly. We didn’t know Delores’s new feelings about freedom and the humans. We didn’t know she purposefully recruited Caleb or why? We didn’t know calebs past. We didn’t know Caleb was lied to about his past. We didn’t know Delores’s copies. We dont know where the sublime is. We didn’t know anything. So a lot of the season I wasn’t engaged because I didn’t know what the fuck was going on. I think this channel made me like he episodes more than the show did. Also: can these characters not all sound like philosophers constantly and consistently contemplating the meaning of consciousness and what it means to be alive??? And also, ummm we have a machine that can predict the damn future?!! Or can affect the results of a while society. That’s a huge series in itself. I’m liking it less and less as I think about it.
@johnespino8864 жыл бұрын
This was fast! Kudos to your breakdowns and looking forward to your future Westworld videos. 🤙 First off, I do agree that this season was the most concise and straightforward so far. Season 2 was such a whirlwind and as I mentioned in one of your prior videos maybe someone from higher up asked them to make things...simpler. That they were trying to mirror Season 1 however, this time for humans, perhaps made it easier to navigate with the concepts-we were drawing the parallels ourselves this time. Second, I’m really surprised and unconvinced that all the prop gaffes were unintentional (or not referenced). I would believe for a production this size they would have script supervisors whose main job is to go over these inconsistencies! It’s not as if they’re just simple errors after all. The alternative would be that these are all misdirections by the show creators and script writers, and that is just cruel. 🙃 Third, I’m feeling that character and narrative developments were too rushed in the last two episodes. For one, Charredlores (thanks Reddit) and Dolores’ confrontation seems lacking at best. For all the setup and emphasis that was placed on their relationship in the whole season, I feel that there’s not much time or opportunity for Dolores to reckon with the consequences of her disregard for her baby/sister. After all, she’d have to know that what she was asking for Charredlores to do, and she had to know that her family will most likely be harmed in the process, and thus she would have to know how it could affect her if something were to happen to them-after all they were the same person up until she replicated herself. Tangent, but the emphasis and careful placing of props and visual cues really, really, makes me think otherwise that the script supervision errors were unintentional. The statues? The message for her kid? Ugh this makes me frustrated. Maybe this would be addressed in the next season? I hope it will be. Or maybe they’re just setting up this version of Charredlores now so that they could develop her character going forward-and I hope this is the case. Which leads to my fourth and final point-I felt that the narrative and character building for Caleb was too rushed. His flashbacks were all expository and conveniently placed to explain what is happening to him. That's why I really didn't feel the gravity of his choice....as opposed to how Dolores told Maeve that she 'choose to see the beauty'. That line has been repeated again and again and now after everything she's been through it really carries a heavy emotional weight. I was thinking we could've had a mid-season episode all about Caleb and his past, gently connecting his flashbacks as if everything happened. Imagine if we started with his time in combat (Park 5 simulations), and we see a familiar host face (which would be confusing but intriguing, and not necessarily Dolores because that'd be a giveaway). Then next would be the time he spent in Russia with the space missile missions. Then it would be when they 'caught' the mastermind. Then his 'editing' scenes which could be interpreted as a 'cure' to PTSD. And then him visiting his mom in the hospital. The last scene would be him at the beach, staring into oblivion. All these basically a lead up to the Caleb we meet at the beginning of the series. A whole episode just on that would've established many key things about him. And it would make flipping things up and debunking some stuff in later episodes more meaningful because we've spent some time gestating in our minds who Caleb supposed to be is. And when he makes that final execution of Rehoboam, we could at least have a semblance of why he 'chose' to do that and why Dolores chose him for that role. (Was it just because of his generosity? Sure I could see how that ties in. But it just doesn't have the gravitas when it was all 'explained' towards the end.) At this point I’m truly looking forward to Season 4, even if that means it’s going to be by 2022 optimistically (though I’m looking forward more to having a vaccine for COVID-19 by that time, lol). It’s kind of nice though to see and realize that truly, Westworld’s premise is about free will, and the choices you make when you acknowledge that you have it. Seasons 1-3 were all about galvanizing people to be agents to exercise their own free will, and it’s such a hopeful message that I really, really, appreciate from the show.

Because she was bitching and whining about her boyfriend being killed and worrying about the safety of her daughter but the truth is I'm pretty sure her boyfriend could still be recreated and reborn - I mean it is Westworld after all . Also Dolores didn't do anything to threaten her daughter as far as we know so far . Also I think Maeve is a bit of a hypocrite and only cares about her immediate family members and her lover boy but she herself has committed mass slaughter within the Westworld arena - like all those knife fights she was in season 3 Westworld - I understand they are hosts and can have their bad memories wiped out but they still remember trauma - as we all know . Even with the big death at the very end I just felt detached, though I can say that exit was not satisfying at all in terms of wrapping up that particular character. Also Dolores' scenes near the end, while somewhat emotional and well performed, also didn't feel totally earned. While I love Fight Club, this last episode leaned so heavily on it that it felt a step too far passed just being a respectful homage, especially that last shot. There were certainly things to praise like the acting, effects, locations, cinematography, music, stunts and pretty much everything on a technical level. The issues were in the writing. The magic from the earlier Westworld just wasn't really there any more.

Review Of The NERDS totally right, the writing got so lazy. Surprisingly since they had so much time to produce this season. Its like they dumbed down the dialogue and the plot to cater to a normie audience. I struggled getting through each episode waiting for a payoff but in the end I was very disappointed. William and Bernard's plots were pointless there was no character progression.

I don't feel the writing in the park was much more evolved, just timelines intertwined with past, present, and different pasts. And it was very repetitive, plus, most of it was scripted for the hosts, making the stories meaningless.

@@Kaalokalawaia Indeed. And this is the season with the most exposition and "explaining" out of the 3. I think this is the most important season so far exactly because it goes out of its way to hammer in the point that the park is just a mirror of our current society, or the direction in which its headed at least. Even the name Westworld makes more sense when you consider the fact that its a critique on western society.

I think the thing that anyone has a gripe about this season is the fact that there was no deciphering timelines. Usually you have to figure out when you are in this show and in this season that was usually pretty easy to figure out. I personally thought this season was really good for what it was. By bringing us into such a familiar situation but making it have its own wrinkle to it. And almost like the Maze are you go out another layer theres even more. And this is building for an amazing 4th season. As a fan of mr robot I can see the preparation coming into play.

This was definintely a different season from the beginning and a lot of what expectations we were tricked into making turned out to be incredibly wrong, and right at the same time. I was kind of right that Serac wasn't controlling Rehoboam, but I wasn't expecting Rehoboam controlling Serac although it makes sense when you watch the previous episode and the Hologram says "The man I used to be doesn't exist anymore." Now we also know that the AI that was assisting Dolores this entire time was RICO itself, which we learned is a proxy program created by Solomon and Rehoboam to control crime so that makes sense why she was able to get away with such Grand Theft Access without consequences. I don't think Lawrence is the Last Pearl, but proof of Dolores's plan to repopulate the real world with original Hosts. His mannerisms, speech, and threat of hitting the high explosive in the truck is classic El'Lazo. If anything, he's been following Bernard this whole time, acting on Dolores's plan for Bernard to continue his Fidelity Test to become Arnold again. When he enters the Sublime, and leaves Stubbs in the tub, you notice when Stubbs looks around the corner and he doesn't see the Door. Hopefully Stubbs returns for then next season too, because he lost so much screentime and character building beause of his real-life shoulder injury that got scripted into the season. He's the "Bender" of the show and one of the best comedic beats. The show has a habit of showing who lives and who dies: Serac is left alive and you don't see William bleed out either so we could expect the two of them to return as Humans.

@jiryensaber60904 жыл бұрын
Most of this season just seemed to go nowhere and several things/characters were built up for no real pay off and it just all falls flat. Overall, here's my own salty review... I really thought there was a mirror world and so so many hints and directives pointing to it. See Definition's Mirror World Theory Video - it explains it very well and not everything was an issue but it seemed almost inevitable IMO. Becuase without it, there was a lot of mistakes. So when it didn't happen... now we have to look at the mistakes and other factors here an they don't make sense. S3 was filmed and done before news of a S4 was even known. So it had to be written as a potential end. So in addition to what was already said, lets also look at... Caleb at first seemed interesting but for a guy who did NO PERSONALS, he sure got invovled with a lot of killing with Delores and this was way before he started to see things for himself. At first, I could relate to him. I suffer from the same trauma that he did. He did low level crimes to help pay for his mother's health care but even when he gets all that money, we never revisit his mother again and shutting down Rehoboam probably killed her in the riots and chaos. His background memory was kinda predicted. This show was pretty much all Dolores and him. Everything just goes so well that one host can take down the world and outsmart an super AI... I'm not buying it. 8 episodes vs. 10 means some story telling has to change; but the MIB gets an episode or so and then his character is essentialy dropped and we wasted all that time. We get an episode or so of Benard, remember him? Who felt like a background character this season and Stubbs (now I guess he's Tubbs?? smh) even less. And Broken Arnold or whatever is also trying to figure out who he is (again??) and then he's just in some future episodes to play catch up and say some lines. Wasted all of that time. And then we have Charlores... It was sweet to see her latching onto her "human" famliy. If anything, that should have shown her how other human famliies could be. That killing humanity or even fighting against humans would mean other famlies being destroyed and broken apart. But when HER family is destoyed, she goes total Skynet and everyone now everyone has to die? W..T..F?? (sigh) I felt Maeve was wasted in this season and had a shallow arc. She should have stayed dead at the end of S2 only because I felt it was a good send-off for her character sacrificing herself for others. She's in this season about as much as MIB and Benard. Serac saves her life, bringing her back, and the first thing she does is try to kill him and say she doesn't care about humanity at all. Total disconnect. (sigh) She just wants to be with her daughter? That's fine. But how many people and hosts does she kill that probably have a son or daughter themselves? (At least, as much as a host can have one like Maeve does) Hypocrite much? Serac, however, was very interesting. I think he really was trying to do the best thing for humanity. He wasn't a paragon but (almost) nobody in this show is. All shades of gray mostly like other seasons. The guy saw a nuke dropped on his home city! I think that's going to radically affect someone and he was at least trying to DO something about it along with his brother and help humanity, even at the cost of some freedom but its another way to look at things and think about, except they never go much further than that. I thought he was very simimlar to Ford except in the outside world. You can't play God without being aquainted with the Devil. And the destruction of Solomon and Rehoboam.. these are AI's. Caleb says as much. A potential new life?? How about the Warworld Simulation? Several host brains were plugged in. Were they in it or could the sims possibly be a form of life too? Isn't that kinda what the Sublime is like? Imagine being born into a Nazi and made to be hated? Instead of exploring those possibilities (we were told the hosts were "just robots" too) they just get killed. Kill them becausse it's JUST a simulation host or fake human or its JUST an AI super computer. Wasted potential I thought they could have touched on. Just my opinion. It doesn't matter about the chaos and all the innocent people that will die just because Dolores decided all by herself that humanity should burn. Personally, if Caleb had access to Rehoboam... how about setting things up in steps? The world needed reform.. not a full revolution IMHO. Caleb's mom, Arnold's wife... they won't make it. RIP Giggles - that was a cool dude and I WANT that t-shirt! But alas, I hope Serac and Jean Mi aren't gone but then again, I'm probably not going to watch more so... Anyway, getting back to things. The big mystery of who was in Berlin as the 5th host? Lawrence? Why him and why did he only show up for one episode in SanFran instead of Germany? He barely did anything except being another clone. (I assumed a Warworld connection - because of Germany) The other mole Serac mentioned? What was up with Musashi and the white goo stuff - what was the point of that when we see Anakin-Charlores making more at the end herself in Dubai? What happened to Solomon and all those people after Delores hit the EMP? They just died? They sure got into a super AI computer that controls most of the world (and it's younger brother) pretty easy and then was able to take down Rehoboam all in one episode! Wow!! A machine that advanced would have several backups, have parts of itself in the internet, software, satellites, other digital connections where information is backed up instead of one physical location. Considering how important it is. (smh) I have more security on my laptop! So... Nope. Don't believe it. And these post credit scenes? Why? Just include it, if its so important!! I'm also really getting tired of hosts always coming back again and again. There's no tension in those fights. Someone dies? Nah, it'll be fine. (Here's at you CD) Next episode or season they'll be back. But other than MIB, other human characters that I like are killed off, like Felix and Elsie. I really liked them. They were already showing people could change and were good people! Guess Dolores forgot about things like that. Hell, even Sizemore was able to change and he was a major dick. But nope, gotta kill more humans in the real world, then when its all in chaos... play the innocent "I see the good in people" innocent farmgirl again. Oh COMEON!! F**K YOU!! So... personally? I hope Dolores is gone. She's killed both so many humans, hosts, and destroyed so much that she's become the monster she "supposedly" was fighting against. Maeve too. As Teddy told Dolores in a few of the good parts from S2... what's the difference if they are as bad as the ones they are fighting? Also, Benard was supposed to keep all this from going too far? Yeah, that didn't really work out. Kinda forgot about that. So... what did he really DO this season? His purpose was.. what? He was one of the best characters and so was Teddy. I guess characters like him, Hector, and Peter Abernathy CAN die.. but I don't see Delores even mention her dad anymore or Teddy. Because showing any emotions, regret, or god-forsake vulnerability... ya know, what made us feel for her in the past? (And I can't help but feel this season was kinda a drawn-out PSA) So yeah.. I'm upset and let down. I'm harsh and not as forgiving because.. come on WestWorld!! You had it and did it so well before!! If you hadn't started so great, I wouldn't be so perplexed and let downl. Season 1 was a near-masterpiece. S2 a major let down but had some genuine moments. And while S3 seemed like things were kinda on track again to course correct and be better.. nope! I was rooting more for Serac so what does that say about this dumpster fire? The finale just fell flat. I'm kinda torn now if S3 and S2 are the same in terms of quality writing, character arcs, impoirtant things shown or said that pay off later... maybe 2 was a bit better... in palces.. but no, this just didn't add up and I gave it two seasons to try to match the S1 lighting caught in a bottle. Sadly, it never happened and it hurts to say this, but F**k You WestWorld... seriously. I'm done. Jeez. I didn't mean to write an essay!! Sorry! I didn't realize it was thing long. Really... I'm tired. So tired. Just unpacking all of this and guess I kept writing. Definition, good job on all your work!! You had some great theories and I thought the same thing about the mirror world as you did. There just was so much evidence for it. But wow... just a upsetting and and dystopian end, espeically with all that's going on in the real world, I was hoping for.. well, some hope. Anyway Definition, maybe I get a No-Prize for longest rambling? (LOL) This is a Salty Review - Take care and thanks for your hard effort and productions! Cheers!

Could have been better. This season had far too many continuity issues. Some of the action scenes were clearly too ambitious and were cringe worthy. Maeve became a production muse rather than an integral part of the story. Bernard was wasted both creatively and logically. There is something that pisses me off about this season. That Delores has a particular memory of Caleb that lets her have compassion for certain people. So why didn’t she have that memory last season when she was killing people? Delores did seem like she had no intention to come out of this alive. That all her copies were meant to be around for as long as they were needed, then go out in a blaze of glory.

Pretty good season finale, though it did come across as a bit rushed at times like they were trying to pack too much into one episode, they should have probably split this one into two one hour episodes. Looks like Season 4 is shaping up to be a battle between Maeve/Caleb trying to save humanity and Hale (aka Evil Delores)/William v2.0 building a host army to destroy humanity in some quasi post apocalyptic world where civilization is collapsing, not sure where Bernard/Stubbs fits into all this (pretty much like all Season 3).

Interesting theory to consider; Since there are 6 parks, there may be 6 seasons for this series. The 6 parks are; Westworld Shogun World Warworld The Medical World, theorized currently as "Fantasy World" Park Five "American Suburbia" and The Raj. The first season heavily featured Westworld. Season 2 delves an entire cast and episode to Shogun World. And there are 2 whole episodes that rely on Warworld for the recent one. The big counter to this theory is that The Raj gets introduced in S2 and Parks Four and Five are seen in S3, but all instances are minor occurrences that don't contribute as much to their respective narratives as the first three. But I can be missing something here, so who knows...???

At the end, Charlotte (Delores) continues with her free will to be who she is from the emotion she learned based on experience. An host always learns something new from the suffering.

Thank you so much for your reviews! I looked forward to them every time and will continue to support you. Regarding this season: over all, I liked this better than season 2. To be honest, this season was pretty straight forward. We were so used to having complicated timelines that we assumed this time it would be simulations. I’m still trying to decide if I like this simpler form of Westworld, as I feel it lost some of that “wow!” Factor with no real twists in the story. I also think it was kinda predictable: Bernard being the key we all guessed it, Caleb doing the right thing and Maeve eventually turning on Serac. But I feel the story left some gaps in the story that idk of because of only 8 episodes they rushed it too much to not explain. Such as: who was in Berlin? Was it Lawrence all this time? Why was clementine and the other chick brought back just for 5 mins? Maeve needed allies yet barely used them to fight. When exactly did Dolores decide to look at the bright side of humans? Season 2 she’s full of revenge yet somewhere she changed her mind. Why is Maeve still after her daughter? Her story arc was the worst this season. She’s so powerful and at the end of season 2, we saw also sacrificing herself in order to see her daughter (which we still don’t have a name for) be safe with her new mom. I thought that was her way of character growth but this season she seems selfish to make that her ONLY reason. Bernard goes to see Arnold’s ex wife to have peace regarding their son, but I believe season 1, Bernard let’s go of his son for (again) character growth. And let’s not talk how really Bernard, Hubbs, and William were just fillers, didn’t add to the story at all. I’m starting to notice with Westworld, it gets complicated with the stories of hosts. These are robots that can always be brought back to life and into a loop, so nothing really feels definitive and impactful. I loved how the season started with powerful female leads, the detail to the scenery and music are always fantastic, as well as the futuristic details. Well, we got at least 2-3 yrs before we all come back for our favorite hosts. It’s been a blast guys!

I didnt think i would, but i honestly loved season 4 as well:) i think the writers and the whole production team did a great job continuing the story. The old characters were very consistent and the new ones were introduced nicely. I like how every character played a crucial role and how they teamed up the characters (example: Bernard and Stubbs, Dolores and her copys, Maeve and Serac). It all made sense. I do miss season 1&2 a lot, especially when there are flashbacks to the park, so many things happened there. But i am happy that this season didnt try to piggyback on the first two seasons, it had its own story, rhythm and characters. The mirroring was really good too and i love how the plot was hinted in s1&2. I think a lot of ppl are sad that s3 was kind of straightforward(and i am too), but i think that was the way to go as it gives them room to be more creative in further seasons. It was also great that they didn't overcomplicate the story and stayed true to s1&2. Really looking forward to s4 and hopefully more of "good dolores" and all the other charactersxD and i also enjoyed this review of season 3 very much:) good video

I don’t understand how the quality of writing has fallen so far... Season 1 was pitch perfect, everything wrapped up amazingly neatly, the characters were all great, every plot thread came together, some amazingly well done twists that made you rethink the whole thing, everything you might think was a continuity error turned out to be a clue to the finale. It was about as close to tv perfection as I’ve seen, Season 2 was pretty good still. Not as good as season 1, there was a little too much focus on action over storytelling, but there were still some great moments and it overall fit together pretty well, even thought there were a few inconsistencies But season 3, oof. This season made me wish it ended after the first one. Every character’s arc goes nowhere and their motivations make no sense, despite being told in a linear way this time, the plot was even more difficult to follow and this time actually barely made sense, and the whole thing was padded out with pointless action scenes. It’s lost everything that made it so good.
