I head out on a solo camp with minimal kit to build a natural bushcraft shelter using only a cold steel shovel.
The weather isn't the best with rain, snow and cold temperatures and a short amount of time to get the shelter built before it gets dark will i have time to get fire wood and build the shelter

It's always tough when you are chasing against the clock Jimmy. But you got a good small shelter up and the ridge pole did the job too, despite the snow load on the roof too. It is weird without a fire but, as you say, it's not always essential. Well done Mate. Cheers 👍

Cracking video Jim . I first had an halal meal offered to me when I was first in hospital in 2012 . I had woken after the operation just after lunch , the following day . I was offered the curry and fairy rice and really enjoyed it and was offered a second plate to see wasting it . I asked the nurse what type of curry it was and she didn't know , thinking it was made in the kitchens. It was the lad in the next bed who told what it was .He told what it was and where it was made . So when I was fit enough, a few months later, I ventured to the place where it was made near to the old Newcastle General hospital. I met the lad who told me about it , but what he didn't tell me was that he was the owner of the company. Since then I have done some research into halal food and I found it is far more healthier, natural and tastier than traditional British food which we accept now to things like additives , salt , etc which are bad for us . Now most of my diet is halal and I feel far better for it . I also got my late mother into eating it and had to tell her it was proper , natural food pre cooked in a more natural way and she enjoyed it . If I had told what it actually was , her racist side would shown its self and I would have been in serious danger, lol . Anyway, great video Mate and keep up the great work. As long as you were warm, dry and (reasonably) safe, that's the main thing. (Head at higher end next time, eh? 😉) Also, good emergency use of the tarp, always have a Plan B. Take care out there All the best Dave and (Buddy the doggo)

Just loved this one, a human beaver, why use a tarp when you can cut and use the wood that’s all around, you really do enjoy the woodland as an adventure park, and are never happier than constructing shelters, your energy is Amazing, really good camp. Thanks for watching Lee appreciate it mate a jetboil is a bit bulky but it comes in handy for different types of camping I prefer my normal gas stoves to be honest I might star using my alcohol stove for a change not used it for ages I was getting wet mate so had to deploy the poncho never leave home without one atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
