The material and construction are very good. Installation in a 2013 Hyundai Sonata with electric driver seat is a bear! You have to practicably be a rhesus monkey to get the job done. THIS IS A TWO MAN OPERATION as one person has to thread the straps over/under all the seat parts with the other person groping for the snaps on the other side, all while you move the seat back and forth to get enough room to reach. The side straps HAVE TO GO UNDER the slide rails which means the straps slide back and forth along the bottom of the rails when the seat is moved. Unfortunately the rails have PROTRUDING BOLT HEADS underneath that will grab the straps as you move the seat forward and will rip them from the seat cushion if you move the seat too far forward. You literally have to pull the straps down over the bolt heads (by hand) to keep them from tearing off the cushion. The manually adjustable passenger seat is about half as hard but still not easy. Also, the bottom edge of the lower seat cushion CANNOT be tucked underneath the plastic base of the seat. It simply folds down overtop the base and lays there just like that. I considered purchasing another set for another car, but after all this work I decided against it. CAN'T IMAGING TAKING IT OFF TO CLEAN IT AND HAVING TO REINSTALL. And BTW, don't depend on any of their installation videos - just make sure you install the bottom cushion first.

Too bad in your seat cover review we didn’t get to see the seat covers.😂

I'll be posting an updated video when I do show the Wet Okole seat covers. At the time I made this video, I already had the vinyl seat covers on and taking them off is very time consuming. In the new video, I filmed it while in the process of replacing the old vinyl covers that were worn out.

Are the wet okole seat covers worth the money? They are one of the few company’s that make seat covers for my single cab Tacoma. Im really just looking for some protection for the seats. Also, are they waterproof?

I really like mine, been using them for 15 years now. I found they added a lot of firmness and support to the seat. They should be fairly waterproof as they are made of the same Neoprene rubber as wet suits. The seams are not sealed as far as I can tell.

Yes, but I think of it as putting $35 seat covers on top of $350 seat covers. A heck of a lot cheaper to swap out the cheap covers every few years as they wear out than to have a new set of Wet Okole covers made. I'm now getting ready to swap the seat covers in this video side to side as the driver's side is about worn out. Might get another year or two out of them then time for the 3rd set of cheap covers.

You could always put a $20 set of seat covers over your $35 seat cover that are over your $350 seat covers lol

I'm sure they're awesome, but I'll never know. Just had one of the most disappointing customer service experiences of my life with these people. No seatcover is worth spending that amount of money on just to be talked at like that. No thanks.

Sorry you had a bad customer experience issue, I guess that can happen with any company on a given day.

True. Catch the wrong person on the wrong day.

Tint your windows dude. 99.9% UV protection
@The4Crawler5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that might be an option. I think it's more a wear issue than UV as the wear areas on my covers are down along the door panel, under the arm rest, where sunlight exposure would be fairly low.

@@The4Crawler just ordered for my 2016 challenger srt 392. I only keep a car about 5 years anyway so these wet okole covers should last.
