Hilliard is a suburb of Columbus Ohio. They're a well funded PD. They have K-9, they pull people over for "turn signal violation" then the dog MAGICALLY SIGNALS DRUGS.... That gets them in your car to search under threat of arrest. What happens when they don't find anything???? When a dog signals??? They get pissed. They've trained K-9 to ALWAYS INDICATE ON A CAR.... SO TURN SIGNAL ENDS UP BEING 1.5HR STOP WITH CAR TORE UP....The mayor is the judge, so you can't do anything about the CORRUPTION

Every cop can and will make any situation worse! It is in their DNA and their training. They have no idea how to investigate nor do they want to. Just exert authority! Qualified Immunity needs to be abolished. Every cop should be required to carry Liability Insurance. A couple claims and their premiums will be so high they will have to quit. Voila ... bad cops will be eliminated from the force.

"Tell me what law I'm breaking officer" "IIII don't know" Yes most cops attempt to enforce their feelings, not law.

6:30 Glik v Cunnife did not go to the Supreme Court, therefore they did NOT rule on this. This is a 1st Circuit ruling, and the opinion while mentioning the 10 feet distance fact in this case, did not state clearly in their opinion that this was an acceptable distance in all cases.

You are 100% correct, the ruling in Glik aalso stated the recording was subject to time, place and manner. In this case, it was daytime, the man was on/next to a public sidewalk,( not close enough to let someone out of his car🙄) and was not interfering with the police in any manner. In addition, could this ego maniac cop not have had the doors locked, thus preventing anyone from “ letting his prisoner out”? This was just a case of respect my authority because I said so

There is no reason any officer local, state, federal should not know the law! If fact in order to do so you must know The USA Constitution, as it is the biggest part of becoming an officer. Peace officer that is.

I don't know where they feel like they get the authority to dictate someone's actions when they aren't breaking the law. And even if they are, it still doesn't give them the authority to be disrespectful to citizens, breaking the laws or not. The judgement should be left for the judge, not arresting officers.
