I think you caught the best day of the whole holidays but I suspect you had a good eye on the weather forecast. Thanks for yet another cracking video, Andy, Tracey and Billy. Beautiful morning light and later atmospherics. We haven't done Wetherlam yet - have looked at various ascent options and this looks a great one to add to the list for perhaps next week. We can't believe the forecast for the coming days - we get up there on Saturday and it looks fab for at least a week. @@RockStar67 No worries, Andy. Looking forward to the new vids. We went up Helvellyn today via your Brown Cove Crags route, Lower Man, Whiteside, Raise then down Sticks Pass. We had a nice temperature inversion to start the day. We ended up parking in that lay by after The Kings Head and went up from Swirls car park so a different starting point to you. Never been up from Thirlmere side before - have always approached from the Glenridding/Patterdale side so this made a nice change. Your video inspired us to do this route. Lovely day, but a bit icey on them stones on Brown Cove Crags - had to watch our step. Hope you had a good day out today. Brian & Jill

Super circuit and makes me determined to do Black Sails ridge. Looks a superb route to the ridge and not too eroded. The last time I did Wetherlam and the ridge up to Swirl How, it was clagged out and couldn't see a thing. Those were the days of bagging for the sake of it - the days of my 'yoof'! No more, I tend to be a bit pickier (lazier?) and pick and choose the days when I will get a view. Another terrific video and looking forward to your plans for 2024.

Congrats on the 1k Andy, hard to believe you haven't got more! Probably my favourite route up weatherlam, although I usually go via copper mines and up the disused winch wall. I love the way the big view is hidden right up untill you hit the summit of Black Sails and as you said, no path on the map means for a lovely quiet walk.

Hmmmmm. I like this route Andy. That peek at the Crinkles at 10:35 is almost heavenly with the light illuminating them. Not been this route so it's another for my to do list. Congratulations on your 1000 subs Andy. Well deserved and like Mali says should be 50k. Was hoping to get up there with the kids and grandkids but the weather was so crap didn't make it. Its a cracking area, need to get back there myself. Both times I have been up Wetherlam its been from Swirl How via the Prison Band. Next time I will be doing it via Black Sails. Wow Mali thanks so much for the teriffic feedback...you git yourself back up in't Hills Lad...one of the best easy Sunsets and Sunrise is Binsey and a nice easy start to work on that fitness (although you do already look fit as a butchers dog!)
