Wettie TV | SPEARFISHING Worlds largest LAGOON | New Caledonia Part One

Part one of our latest trip to New Caledonia. In this episode we are diving in the enormous lagoon out from Noumea. We find isolated coral bommies out on the sand with lots of great fish. Including Jobfish, Spangled Emperor, Robinson Sea Bream, Parrotfish and more!!

Question, how long is the speargun, and how thick the shaft, that you use only one band?

Vary between 6.5mm and 7mm shaft, single 16mm rubber. 130cm speargun in this video.

Great video as usual! Can you recommend any spearfishing charters in NC?

Sorry I don't really know of there being any spearfishing charters there. A good option would be to get hold of Fenua Peche (Top Fishing), which is the main spearfishing store in Noumea. They may be able to assist!

Nice diving. Any reason you not using a roller gun?

Personally I prefer our simplified traditional set up with single rubber. It suits my diving style better. Fast to reload, optimal manoeuvrability, low recoil, low profile, easy to aim, less drag. Many factors come in.
