IMO Tommy was stopped from killing Pam at the end of Part V and was institutionalised again and treated until he broke out with Hawes at the beginning of this film. That's why he's calmer in this than he was in 5. And he went psycho on Jason's body because the memories of what Jason did in The Final Chapter came back to him.

Yeah it was confirmed in the novelization of this film along with a retcon that explains why Roy Burns was acting like Jason (He was possessed by Jason's spirit)

the utility belt type Jason is kinda what they went with in 2009 with the survivalist. I think the belt looked slick and it was cool update for the character, where he has darts, knife and machete that he carries around at all times and uses at will. He loses it of course in 7 as they went for more of a monster in that one. Funnily enough, a lot of people hate on FvJ because Kirzinger used Boris Karloff's Frankenstein monster as a base, but I think even Steve Dash, Kane Hodder and this movie also used Frankenstein's monster as a base. The director said he wanted to give a sensitive side to Jason in this one, especailly when he looks over @ the lil girl in bed.. but tbh this movie has the most zombie Jason of the movies and there is absolute no sensitivity to him. Especially the fact we don't see his eye.

I didn't care much for this one as a kid but it has become one of my favorites as I have gotten older. It is so much fun to go back to these movies to see who are in them. One that is really fun to watch for that reason is The Burning, not sure if you guys have seen it but it has a lot of people you would recognize.

Something I noticed one day that I could never unsee after the fact...The shot with Jason's eye and the maggots; if you pay close enough attention you see one of them fall off,clearly demonstrating that they got the shot with the actor standing up instead of lying down. My immersion is always fucked with during that scene ever since I noticed that. And now yours will be too. So......sorry 'bout that.

I was so broken hearted when I found out they switched actors after the first day of filming because they said he was "too fat" because he had "too much junk in the trunk" -_- what??? So the guy who plays Jason in the paintball scene is completely different from the Jason who plays in the rest of the movie. This Tommy creates the problem and solves the problem by killing Jason Voorhees. Also he tries to prove to a stubborn Sherrif that Jason Voorhees is alive but being the unbeliever even with tangible evidence he doesn't believe him. That's why this is the Best Tommy Jarvis. He was reduced to chump in that abomination since he never fought the lameass copycat Jason Voorhees in a movie that never should have been made that is 1 of the worst sequels in the history of sequels.

So far this is my favourite Friday the 13th. I've seen from 1-6 and Freddy vs. Jason and I gotta say, the first 5 were really not that good, Jason is awesome but the movies themselves sucked. I had high expectations after Freddy vs. Jason(I loved seeing them in the same movie even if the plot wasn't the greatest) and part 6 finally got me hyped about the franchise! The Fact that multiple Friday the 13th movies with Jason Voorhees as the Villain shows brutal violence that is on the mark for Mortal Kombat style violence including the super punch in this movie. It's a embarrassment New Line Cinema didn't get that easy to achieve brutal violence in 2 MK movies but did in multiple Friday the 13th movies because the lameass weak sauce pg13 was used. But I shouldn't be surprised because Paul S W Anderson repeatedly alters rated R stuff to pg13 which is why he should never direct a movie that is supposed to be Rated R.

Michael doesn't kill kids. The only reason he wanted to kill Jamie was because they're related. And maybe he never wanted to kill Jamie. Did you ever think he just wanted to have uncle niece time. In part 5 when Jamie was in the laundry shoot, Michael wasn't trying to stab her, he was just trying to help her get out by cutting a hole for her to crawl out. Michael just thought she was stuck that's all.
