what does ASMR mean?
@ArturoHernandez-uk1iw
@ArturoHernandez-uk1iw 3 жыл бұрын
@@alexia5763 in shorts words: anything that sounds or looks pleasing and relaxing Full explanation: ASMR is a sensation of tickling in your neck, back or whole body, triggered by positive sounds or images, like whispers, soft spoken voice, or anything that sounds pleasing for you. Also is a genre of videos and audios where people record themselves making sounds that are pleasing, sometimes it can turn weird, it's a whole world and there is a lot of triggers (whispers, hair brushing, mouth sounds, people straight out eating food) The community is so positive and supportive, cause ASMR helps people to fall sleep, relax, even people with PTSD or anxiety say that ASMR helps them to calm down And Natalie's voice is so soothing and calm, it caused me ASMR

The KEXP engineers are so on point all the time. This particular session does sound extra good tho. I think it's a combination of the room mic'ing being spot on and the drums themselves projecting really well in the space. Would kill to sit down with their sound people and see how they do things.

@pan4662 4 жыл бұрын
@@ArtificialFertilizer I know it's a long shot because like you said there is something inherently fake about the grammys, not to mention who gives a fuck about the grammys anyway, but it's just such a great and timeless album that she deserves major accolades for it.
@ArtificialFertilizer
@ArtificialFertilizer 4 жыл бұрын
@@pan4662 Well, yeah. Weyes deserves an award, definately. Also, Grammies are an American award, I don't know the popularity of Weyes Blood in the American mainstream culture as I am not American so probably also I can't assess it very well. This year though there were many awesome releases by pop divas: Weyes Blood, FKA Twigs, Lana Del Rey, Caroline Polachek, Angel Olsen, Charli XCX. I also heard that Carly Rae Jepsen had a really good album. The competitors are solid, the most popular probably will win.

Titanic Rising is the perfect tittle for this album. Titanic, a ship that was considered the best, the most beautiful, the most elegant, perfect, full of joy and life. And then, something happened, and tore it apart. Dispair took over. Part by part it sank to the depths of oblivion. In there it rotted. But it's still there, ignored, but there. All those feelings and thoughts that makes us feel in a certain way, and because of that we avoid them. What this album does is to bring those feeling to the surface. To rise Titanic.

i found weyes blood's titanic rising like 5 days ago because of andromeda and i couldnt stop listening to it. it's been on loop for me since i found it. strangely, it hadnt hit my emotions so strongly until i saw this performance. this is otherworldly, there's no other explanation to this ethereal celestial music. i feel like im actually floating in a secluded lake loooking at the stars. honestly the part when she sings movies and something to believe just made me sob for 15minutes straight (and i didnt even like movies so much when i listened to the studio version - but now i do). i dont know why im putting this out here but i hope that natalie knows how much she is helping people be in touch with their own feelings and their own existence in this mess of a world, and that her music is truly one of the most beautiful things i have ever heard

Amazing, my best musical discovery of 2019 (I know I’m late to the party but I’m here now). I needed to see video footage of her voice actually coming from her mouth as I didn’t quite believe it from photographs!

Their drummer looks like Mac from It's Always Sunny, with just a hint of Fred Armisen mixed in lol

which is so great, as Fred Armisen is a drummer irl (his stand-up show for drummers only is fantastic)
