For me, what makes him so great a hitter is that he is the most difficult opponent to face. With the game on the line, he is the most dangerous hitter in baseball. That at-bat to win the ALCS is exactly why he is worth the money. He fouls off well-executed pitches over and over, and he has the power to take advantage of a mistake...if you want to call 98 up in the zone a mistake. Nobody does what he does consistently. He's an average defender. We can find excellent outfielders. You can't find anyone else to hit like he does.

I agree w BT - Good player, not even GREAT, borderline HOF - if, if, if he stays healthy - and even that is question, how many .235 seasons can Mets fans stomach as he did his 1st yr in SD. How about chemistry? Just don't think he is the guy, would had liked Harper, not Soto. Then an exciting player, not so exciting to me any more. 500 HR, I say he's probably DONE between age 34-36, but lets be generous, give him 10 yrs. He has 200 HR, so that means he has to average 30 HR a yr to get to 500, a good chance, 40 HR to get to 600, no chance. Will he steal a lot of bases? Does he have a WOW arm? 15 yrs, are you insane, by age 41 he will look like Cano and need a cane. No way do I sign him for much over 300, 10 yrs. To me overhyped and not worth it. Besides Mets have bigger, stronger, faster more younger guys coming up, much rather see Ronny Mauricio in RF next 6 yrs than Soto.

Dodger fan here, Soto is a glorified max muncy. If muncy could hit .260 boom Soto. Definitely not worth $650 mil but to eachs own. And seeing him in the division as a padre and now as a yankee when the moments biggest he chops a grounder to 2nd lol 8 times out of 10. The Soto special. Lmao

They need alot, other than Soto

I agree!!! He isn't a generational talent and he isn't worth that much money!!! RESIGN ALONSO, GET PITCHING AND WIN THE WS!!!!

Lmao, powerful cognitive dissonance here
@Xxxx2319alpha6 сағат бұрын
@Badtown1988 yeah I kind of doubt that. I would try to read up on history on how a generational baseball player is measured and defined.....you must be from Staten Island....not exactly a think tank.

Yes he is. How many players at 19 years old carry their team to the playoffs ?
@AustinLowrance5 сағат бұрын
Generational player , he's not worth that kind of money he only hits 280 avg 35 homers a year his defense sucks his base running is not good , so why the fuck are people saying he's worth that kind of money, Yankees please be smart...

No, Judge is not the best player you have ever seen. Ohtani is and it isn't particularly close. Cope.

Yankees didn’t win with Soto..Let him go..
@michaelp67947 сағат бұрын
As a Yankee fan, I hope the Mets sign Soto. Too much money for one guy who is only a one dimensional player. The Yankees aren’t going to spend over 300 million so that means they’re gonna put cheap guys in the other spots that we need like first base third base and left field.

Not generational. Unless you consider 8 months a generation
@Xenlacasa453 сағат бұрын
He carried his team to the playoffs and a world series title as a rookie come on now he was 19 years old and only played in the majors for a few months and was hitting off elite pitchers like Josh Hader
@reginaldoyasay4593Сағат бұрын
@ Hey, he’s excellent for sure and I would like him on my team. But generational? 0.285 batting average and 30HRs a year and 6 WAR average. Hey those are all good but to me, not generational. Also, someone made a good point to me. How come Judge and his other Yankee teammates are clamoring publicly to keep him. And what happened in San Diego. I think he would flourish if he went to the Dodgers. In case you’re wondering, I’m an Angels fan. Unfortunately. They had two generational players and messed that shit up
@Xenlacasa45Сағат бұрын
@@reginaldoyasay4593 yeah dodgers would be a good fit for him if they resign teoscar first. Soto hit 40 homeruns btw he will likely hit that again this upcoming season maybe more with more experience now and he's entering his prime.
