One thing I will say is that I love Andy on this song, but this live version by DD in the 90s with Warren Cuccurullo was excellent. It has a style of melancholic and powerful atmosphere.❤❤

I loved this version they did, it would have been incredible if they had done it at this level with Warren on guitar. But since this song is from the original Fab5 with Andy. I love Andy's work too, but this one is unbeatable with Warren.❤❤

I have this on a bootleg CD from London 98. The track was ' unknown ' pah! I knew as soon as Simon opened his mouth mind u the start did faze me a little. What a sublime redo i could listen to it on loop all night ❤

Obviously I love Andy as I have been a Durannie since 1981 but I much prefer Warren, yes I joked about his videos etc but seriously I think him and Nick work so well together. I saw them perform this track in Manchester for the “latest and greatest” tour. It was December (the 22nd I think) and I bought a set of Christmas baubles with Simon, Nick and Warren on them. They played twice in Manchester that year and I was lucky enough to see them both nights.

@@Alagboriel I think the mistake they made was to drop Warren to bring Andy back to make up the orig. 5 piece when they did Astronaut, I mean Andy didnt stay long before he pissed off again - don;t think he was ever truly 100% committed to coming back. Andy is good guitarist, but i dont think he's as imaginative or as artistic; Warren was a much better fit.

This was all about Warren. Duran Duran were innovative during Warren’s tenure. The band were guitar driven, even with Secret Oktober - this is the band at their very best. Of course it all depends on how you like your DD to sound. I came on board during Big Thing which of course was at the start of the band’s experimental time, with that edgy, psychedelic guitar and synths. I thought WC brought out the best in Simon, irrespective of their falling out two years on from this performance. I expect the lack of hits contributed to SLB throwing his toys out of the pram. Jealousy is an ugly trait isn’t it?
