At first I thought Duran Duran was nothing but hype and then I heard Notorious. I was amazed and blown away. That album was brilliant in my opinion. Sometimes what you need to do is not watch the video but just close your eyes and listen to the music, song, and Simon and at that moment you can tell just what Duran Duran the mega band it was and is. They are not hype but the real deal. They are simply amazing.

@nicconille Roger played drums on a couple of songs on Thank You, DD's 1995 covers album, including Perfect Day, which was made into a video. That's the only time Warren and Roger were DD at the same time.

I saw this live at glasgow in 1998 and it blew me away then and it still does to this day, all thanks to the magnificent Warren Cuccurrollo, removing the most musicaly gifted genius the band ever had was an absolute disgrace.

I do think duran get short stick of recognition. However, i think their credibility has increased as people now believe they were bigger than their hype of their 80s hey day. Duran are without doubt one of the finest bands in the history popular music.
