I think in terms of flavor this is a great codex. I think in terms of competitive viability it's pretty good. The main thing is that you have a lot of options, and I think once points are dialed in on some of the units nothing will be oppressive. Overall, as a person who loves this Army and has played it since third edition, this is by far one of the better releases we've had.

I think it will be one of the two main comp detachments. This and bully boys. I didn't cover bully boys because pretty much everyone else is. No need to repeat what's already being said

@@ProxyHammer1 I look at them the same way everyone was going crazy over archon incubi when the drukhari detachment dropped. Yes, they are good, but 2 turns of 5++/4+++ means players will be able to game plan around them very well for 3 turns. (Assuming bully boys). We also don't know if points are changing just yet. I think 18 meganobz is a mistake, and if its "good" its going to force the meta back into dark lance/lascannon spam. Effectively invuln or die. Plus, outside of that detachment there isn't a reason to take more than 1 unit. And your points are almost better spent on regular nobz (assuming points are the same), simply due to volume. Ultimately in the detachment they are very good, but I don't see them being game-busting. But I'm sure they will get spammed, then nerfed (via points). They are definitely one of the winners from the codex changes though. Sorry for the long-winded response!

Ghaz will do well in this detachment for at least 1 turn... it will struggle into knight armies... but they will choke out primary points and just play fixed without having to kill many knights...
