Kind of, unfortunately the game is very unbalanced since many good Pokemon were nerfed while some are extremely op. Mismagius Lost some speed and it's ability levitate for some reason. Hariyama still can't recover his HP while machamp and conckledurr have drain punch for some reason while Also Being stronger than him. After the third gym every leader has a ton of coverage and sometimes use competitive strategies that completely ruin certain counters(golem and Rhyperior suffer so much in this game due to their rock/ground typing i am not even joking)drayden gym is Also way too aggresive

On god, the AI is cheating in roation battles. As I didnt want to play calculator/doc simulator I just played a regular playthrough but in exchange had to find sackless routes via trial and error. So that early game had me relive my DarkSouls PTSD and im convinced that Burgh has some kind of torure kink, but NOTHING had me reset fights more often than those fucking rotation battles ... you think you got a read on how the AI behaves? nu uh -> random shit occurs. In the end though I gained a lot of appreciation for well designed triple battles and feel like it would be fun to maybe see them again. Rotation battles on the other hand .. nah miss me with that shit.
