You could tell she was grateful to the divers because she stayed near them for quite a while. I pray she isn't bothered by other aquatic animals and her wounds heal quickly🙏🏼 She is beautiful!

I rather suspect stuff like this is either dumped, rather than left, or accidentally lost. A lot of fishing gear including illegal Gill news is regularly cut off seals by a group in Namibia. Bits of clothing as well.

This is such an incredible rescue, hats off to the divers for their unstinting work to free this beautiful majestic creature from another of man’s deadly traps caused by yet another something we’ve thrown away in the ocean. Poor animal has to have been in pain with such wounds 😢I hope they heal well

@@budmeasap It doesn't necessarily even have to be for long. If it's tightly twisted around the animal, every time it moves it's body to swim, the movement causes a grind to the skin.

Yes, some people actually are expert divers, and many of us LIVE for opportunities such as this. Not for the social media views but to give some creature a chance and to show respect to, and for, the ocean. I hope one day you have a chance to do something that is bigger than yourself. Вообще-то это не кит, а китовая акула - то есть огромная рыба, родственница другим акулам, хотя по размерам и образу жизни она действительно похожа на кита. В любом случае, ребята молодцы, огромная им благодарность!

@virgo7773. They know humans can help. And remained calmed at all moment, waiting for them to cut off the rope. Then stayed around demonstrating appreciation. Most other animals have a sweet heart, instead of human beings that dont.

Tiny correction. This is a shark. Not a whale. A fish, not a mammal. Its called whale shark due to it being so huge. But its actually "just" a shark.

Animals learn and pass on which methods to use to get help from. Be that through communication, or evolutionary learning. Humans arent more cruel then animals. They are just snimals themselves. Looking out for their own survival, but eager to help otber animals as long as it doesnt threaten their survival to much, or they get a benefit (like the joy of helping someone in need). The only difference between humans and animals is that we have the capability to understand our impact upon others. Thus giving us a responsability to choose with respect and consideratio towards a all affected beings.

Wow! What a great job! I notice she is bleeding from that deepest wound . I hope that does not attract predators (like other sharks or Orcas). It is apparent that rope was on her a long time and it's sad for that injury, but I am sure she is grateful it has been removed. Is there any way to track her recovery progress? Wonderful work for all of you divers!
