Great tutorial, thanks. followed steps and got boolean error when booleaning the two tails, then later the spine as well.... is there tutorial explaining boolean error situations, why they happen and how could we fix them....?

Does the cross section need to be closed if it's not touching the rail?

you can have the cross session(s) either closed or open. they cannot be mixed.
