I'm going to rebuild my 600ACE this summer. Is the 600 the same as the 900 with one less cylinder?

@JorBedoSan No doubt, I use a R5. So, it's as good as it's going to get. Might have to invest into a prime lens might be a little faster. 🤙 -Joe

what kind the oil you use for first assemble?

We use the Redline assembly lube.

No secrets that we know of. Are you having a specific issue?

@@whalensspeed I'm actually going to reassemble the engine and I was worried about gap adjustments between the oil pump and water pump teeth.

Is there any reason it would jump timing?

We don't see much of that, if any. We tend to see timing simply set wrong. But, bad oil pressure can effect the timing guide tensioner piston and or a failed tensioner piston/spring? Potentially causing the chain to loosen and jump timing.

Is that crank lock treaded? Or can a person just use a screw driver?

The crank locking tool is threaded, and we don't use a screw driver. But, I'd say you can make it work? Having the proper tool for the job is nice though.

I know displacement has more to do with making horsepower than the number of cylinders but I can't stop annoying the 2jz crowd by calling it 2 of these
