reminds me of when i was driving with my Father in Germany, and we went sure which direction on the next Interchange. I said "We are too late for changing lanes anyway, so just go straight, and turn around at the next exit". PSA: The minute you're involved in an accident and your gut tells you something is off when dealing with a collision, always hire a lawyer. Not only will they fight the case on your behalf, but they can also fight to get the compensation you need - either from medical payments or loss wages. Godspeed Ivan. Godspeed.

Worst case, any person can take advantage of the first consultation being free as it's also in the law firm's best interest to take on a "slam dunk" case - such as Ivan's case.

I had a failed drive inverter. Got an appointment 2 days later, drove the car there (yay dual motor, always has a spare!), they fixed it in 26 hours (dropped off at 1130am, picked up at 0130pm the next day) under warranty. Can't ask for more! 🙂 The reason why crash stuff takes so long is it's a big can of worms and those parts are parts that only fail due to crashes.

he also forced it to "slow-roll" a stop-sign and proceed into the path of another, incoming car on the lane he was turning into, FSD went 'Collision Avoidance' and dove towards the curb to clear the path for that other car. sure, might chew a tire and rim a little, but far, far better than the back of his car smashed and the front of the other also smashed.. as for why tesla didn't respond? kind of obvious.. stop at the stop-sign, wait for the other car [which has priority/right-of-way, no stopsign] to pass, then continue. FSD had that exact action in it's plans before he intervened to make it go through the stop sign

When dealing with another adult people who aren't cops aren't in any position or at all authorized to do that so I'm genuinely confused why people think that's their place. If they think there has been a crime, people get to call the cops & that's really it. People forgot how to mind their own business. I have a handicapped placard for the genetic bone/joint condition I've had since I was in my early 20s. I look perfectly healthy but some days are really difficult & each step is excruciating so I use my placard that my doctor had to file papers with my state to get on those days. The thing you might see if you're paying close attention is I'm walking super slowly & there's a slight limp sometimes. The number of randos who think they're entitled to an explanation of my medical issue or who have literally screamed at me for "using someone else's placard" has been utterly revolting. I even had a middle aged woman shove me & try slap me before I just cold cocked her in the face & called the police. She got a broken orbital & 6 months in county for her trouble. She was arrested for assaulting "a vulnerable adult" (a classification I technically fall under due to said placard & is a separate more serious crime than the simple assault she would have gotten had that card not been mine where I live.) I just want to go to the store & not deal with crazy or have strangers demand my diagnosis. It's super frustrating.

I had a nearly identical situation to the last clip while driving on the Garden State Parkway. The Parkway is split into local lanes and express lanes. The express lanes go for miles with very few opportunities to exit. I had a driver in front of me who could not maintain his lane at all. I called 911 and they said ok we'll alert the patrols. I stayed behind him (at a distance of course) and eventually I saw a trooper on the side of the highway. I flashed my lights several times. They pulled out and came up and moved in front of my vehicle and pulled the car over. I did not stop like the driver who submitted the clip. Didn't seem safe or appropriate at the time.

11:47 back in late August or early September, I had a similar incident with one of the V12 releases. In my case it wasn't as consequential, but after the car had mostly merged it started "changing lanes" onto the shoulder. It was at a rather stupid exchange south of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, so I was ready for mischief, and I had no trouble putting the car back into the lane. One possibility with mine was that a little further along the the shoulder did become a lane which I would want to be in, but not at the point the car tried to drive on it.

What lousy lazy policing in the USA these days. An eye witness identifying the driver and his shirt, working on the same truck fixing damage...after a hit and run, no licence, no registration...plate removed and VIN obscured. Come on...a slam dunk arrest and conviction.!

I'm wondering if cops are just getting fed up with the amount of paperwork because there are so many people without insurance, and expired registration. I got rear ended by a guy with no insurance and when I discussed it with a CHP officer he told me they wouldn't do anything to the guy with no insurance but I had better fill out an accident report or they could suspend my license. The world has turned upside down.

Yea, the accident report is weird in CA. I had someone "tap" my rear end at a stop sign. No damage to my car. The minivan that hit me had some light damage so they fixed it and filed the "accident" report with CA DMV. A month or two later I get a a letter from DMV stating my license would be suspended because I did not file a report or provide proof of insurance. The issue is that I had no damage. So for me it was a non incident. I didn't know the minivan drive had some minor damage they paid to have repaired themselves. The world is truly upside down. Oh, if you wonder why insuance coverage isn't matched to a VIN in CA it's because politicians who represent poor areas that don't bother to get insurance keep blocking bills that would do that.

With clip 12 I’m from North Carolina and yes the interchange for 85, 74 and 73 along with gate city blvd are all one HUGE confusing interchange and honestly the signs above done help when you got 8 lanes going into 4 different exits but I digress. The truck would have been at fault because even tho the other car took a sharp turn the lane they came from also splits off in an exit lane which most don’t see until the vary last second. The truck was going straight regardless from a exit lane

In normal places cars must stop at a crosswalk, in many places even if that someone is on his way to cross (before reaching it), without someone pressing any buttons for stupid flashing lights that many drivers in the US ignores. Stop giving cars full priority (like no right turn on red or right turn when both directions have green) , stop making pedestrians use beg buttons and wait a long time for a few seconds of unprotected green light to cross, build better infrastructure for all, make laws that allows all to be safe, build better crosswalks (like elevated, middle island etc), light the area and give heavy fines/driver's license suspension for those who ignore the law.

I saw this one lady who got hit from behind getting out of her car and was yelling with her hands up in the air. After a few minutes, the other car just left and she didn’t even get a picture of the license plate.

0:24 this is what the California government has done to the state. They have told those who are "undocumented" and don't have a license etc etc, that they are to be treated with kid gloves. They have told police they aren't allowed to hold them responsible for anything they may do, ie breaking the law. And there is a very specific reason for this. While those who obey the law will get screwed at every turn. By the way California Highway Patrol are not "Troopers". They are called the "CHP" or the "California Highway Patrol". Js.....

I carry "expired" insurance cards all the time (along with a current one). If you're ever in an accident, you can just give them the expired copy. As long as the policy number hasn't changed, this is the best way to get someone else's info.

Best way is to take a photograph of the other drivers info, license, registration and insurance. The expired one isn't worth the paper it's printed on. 😀 Also take a photo of the driver themself, as they may be providing someone else's ID and the vehicle, the damage, their license plate. Photograph or video everything in case they take-off or deny what happened.

3:55 The truck didn't do anything wrong at all, the car massively broke the law cutting across multiple lanes of traffic on a hard ark. The truck was just driving normal and there's no requirement to stop for an accident if you're not the person that caused it, if someone slams into you out of nowhere you don't have to stop. The truck just got back in his lane and continued on which is perfectly fine and not an indication of guilt.

Years ago, I bumped my coverage up from the minimum $25,000 to $250,000/$500,000. With so many expensive cars on the road, the minimum coverage isn't nearly enough.

@10:45 - Jason - I believe Tesla was correct on "driver error". Since the Tesla was in FSD, the computer was already gradually putting in more throttle to make the turn. When he pressed the pedal, it threw the system off, basically adding on top of the already given throttle from FSD. Mixing that with turn lock, its bound to kind of feed back loop and try to go in a circle.

Also, it appeared to me that the car approaching on the street he was turning onto was close enough that the Tesla's sensors might have considered it a collision risk and took evasive action to avoid it, that combined with the extra acceleration could have been the root of the problem. I'm guessing the FSD would have waited for the car to pass before turning, but the impatient "driver" tried to override the somewhat safer action of the FSD.

I really think that justice wise and healthcarewise America is a big, big disgrace 😔 Cops that dont show up or simply are to lazy to do anything or are corrupt, ambulance that refuses to come, not to mention those utterly ridicoulous costs when you need healthcare.
