Secret tech: You can hold the button to break a chain grab. Works for nina and king but i believe it only works on chain grabs. So if king tries to do Rolling Death Cradle you just press and hold 2 and it will break.

Lol when I realized this it was insane how different games went, for some reason people literally let me hit it 2-4 times in a row before I need to change this (I'm almost to blue ranks) and I can easily use the scare of the hatchet to mix them up with an orbital. So many of my games is just waiting for me to hit a hatchet 3 or 4 times to then hit a orbital for free. So yes it's a Hella good move.

LEZGOOOOOOOOOOO BRYAN FURY Yeah that's bryan, he's unorthodox. - doesn't have a conventional mid-check which is df1 for most characters - relies on spacing, bating, and counter hits - requires some degree of execution - ➡️⬅️2 is kinda awkward, but easy to get used to - oppressive at the wall if you use his taunt very well (1+3+4 into b4 hard to do for beginners) His 23 10 frame punish is -12 on block. You also missed d4, a good low poke. 1+2 is a homing mid, my fav to counter side steps. That's about bryan so far. He's hard and different from most characters in some universals. Have a nice one.

@@TheOneAndTrueHead It's muscle memory messing you up. The buffer system is exactly the same but the recovery frames on moves has been changed, check out " Tekken 8's Input Buffer is NOT Broken" really great video on this that will probably explain why Tekken 8 feels strange.

Just a tip for playing Bryan. Bryan's movesets has ALLAT of risky moves, so if ever your attack doesn't hit, blocked, crouched by ur opponents, always crouch jab after. This is also very very useful in every pressure situations especially when fighting King and Hwoarang. The thing about King is don't let urself lacking at his very range. A simple crouch jab could stop him trynna do throws. Have a good time playing fellas👊😎

QCB1 is essentially bryans electric,being +5 from a mid range attack is brutal. You can use it in combos as well but the timing is brutal.

Really late but it’s also worth mentioning that the last hit of Bryan’s 121 string is delay-able. Really good for catching people who will try and mash the second the string ends. Also not wanting to rely on snake edge is a good idea for the reasons you mentioned, but I can say for certain that high level players will get caught by it as long as you use it sparingly. It also high crushes so don’t be scared to let one rip every now and then ;)

pretty sure all chain grabs from all characters never require a 1+2 break after the initial grab. So either 1 or 2 if you are getting chained

If kings going the chain throws (easy way), then the break is always 2. If they are using the proper inputs it depends which throw they are on

Bryan can improve his damage. Those are starter combos. Usually harder ones sub out DB2 for 1+2,2 or QCF3,4 because it does more damage but requires execution. UF4 -> QCF3,4 -> 1-> B3F24 -> QCF2,1 -> DF2,1 -> UF2,2,2,2,2,3 = 100 damage at wall no heat or rage UF4 -> QCF3,4 -> 1 -> B3F24 -> B3F22 =76 damage no wall, heat, or rage and you get snake eyes. Edit: Bryan's QCB4 goes into itself until they tech getup. That's the answer for people laying on the ground. And if they try to get up attack mid way they get launched. QCB4 -> 1+2,2 -> B2,1F2,4 -> QCF2,1 -> DF2,1 -> UF2,2,2,2,2,3 = 100 damage at wall no heat, no rage QCB4 -> 1+2,2 -> B2,1F2,4 -> B3F22 = 76 damage gives snake eyes and doesn't need heat, wall, or be in rage. This move is also good at getting people for crouching hatchet kick and QCB 1

You should definitely use b+2,1,2,4 as your bound/tornado extender because it gives snake eyes instead of b+2, 1, 4. Bryan definitely requires for you to play tekken and understand clear counter play because bryans toolkit is 100% made for you to play against your opponents weaknesses, tendencies, mind games. His many CHs strings and annoying lows, full crouch game, and a low crush SAFE orbital, gives you everything you need to properly do "something" about how your opponent is playing. Really well designed character in this game.

Hey man, a few vids have come out on it, but I think the new tech to stop Kings chain throws is just holding either 1 or 2, since it will break them even if you hold it down, you don't have to mash (as of right now at least)

You actually have a good amount of moves you can abuse. 3+4 is a safe, long ranged mid that launches on CH. b1+2 is a safe mid that launches on CH and gives you plus frames on block. Backsway 3 (qcb3) AKA his hatchet kick is a great low poke that gives you a follow up on CH, and Backsway 4 is a good mid range launcher to whiff punish people with.

theres a "buffer" mechanic where you input the forward in jet upper ( f n b 2 ) during the block animation on at least a -14 frame move, inputting like this grants relatively consistent punishes w/ jet upper compared to raw dogging the input aft a block animation ( someone correct me on this i aint played tekken in months )

King chain throws? Easy. Reverse Arm Slam: 1 break, mash 1 after initial grab Reverse Special Streetch Bomb: 2 break, mash 1 after initial grab Standing Heel Hold: 2 break, mash 1+2 to break King's Bridge Arm Breaker: 1 break, mash 1+2 to break RDC Cobra Clutch: 2 break, mash 1 after initial grab. Then of course you have all the neutral grabs but just knowing the input won't help much, still gotta make a guess on the grab, and the chain mixups but that's another guessing game. As a King main, I also don't like losing to King lmao TLDR; Mash 1 to break chain throws

Gotta use qcb and qcf moves. QCB3 and QCB 1 are good to fish CH and get free damage. 3+4 is a really good keep away mid that also counters. Start using those more and you’ll definitely see a bit more success
