Idk where these guys got their XP Pro’s? I grabbed one locally instead of direct to get 1 that wasn’t cherry picked. The one I had in my hands wasn’t worth my time to modify. The work needed to make it reliable would have been extensive. You can see the ejection partner and slide stuttering in Skip’s video. I can’t help but wonder if his extra barrels had different dimensions or “updates”? The one I had was poorly timed. Under recoil sprung, over main sprung, super loose slide to frame, loose barrel lockup, grip texture was pretty slick, and that slide catch.. who ever came up with that needs to stop it 😂 My experience is inline with others that are having issues like failing going into battery..

@ I’ve heard they addressed the weak ejection issues. I’ve learned to stay away from the first batch of any firearm. Seems to be the testing ground. That sucks you had that experience. I’m waiting until the beginning of summer to get mines. The ported barrels should be out by then hopefully. I needs that lol

Nice roster. I feel that 4.25" is the sweet spot-- not so big that you can't carry it, and not so small that it gets "snappy." We started with the Prodigy, and can't wait to continue to explore this platform. It's almost like I've forgotten all about my striker fired pistols...which there are a lot of. 😆

Not one yet. Bust just got the shipping notice from JEM Guns for my new alloy Commander length, full dust cover DS frame. Supposed to be here Thursday. Monolithic slide, and being built in .357 Sig. Got 4 Atlas mags, Fusion billet machined hammer, EGW sear, sear spring and ball nose disconnecter , Fusion match bull barrel, and guide rod, Springco recoil springs ( several weights from 10-14#) Slide direct mount milled for RMSc with a standard Glock rear dovetail and did the 3mmx5mm slot cut and inside relief cut for a Glock front sight. Standard height Glock TruGlow night sights lower 1/3 co-witness through the Dot. Holosun 507k Red Dot, and a Holosun 1000 lumen PID light going on it. I don't buy factory guns. Im blessed to have the skills to build all my own 1911/1911ds pistols. Great video as always!

All my other 1911 DS guns are 5". Still waiting on my Romulus, it shipped today. When I get it, I will have the VAX done.

@xxthadx the Kovert and Hex are ported and I've never shot the regular TWC-9... that said... porting a Jacob Grey takes a great DS 1911 and transforms it into a less expensive but just as beautiful Atlas Ares/Eos experience. Smooth cheatcode luxury firearm.

I may circle back and try the Prodigy again bc I’ve heard they’ve resolved their issues. I had one that was a compete disaster I do not want one that takes Glock styled mags like the Platyous
