I got a faulty gyro on Alpha Lumenier and I could see it directly in the configurator gyro graph because the RMS value of the pitch gyro was wayyyy higher than the ~0 of the others with no movement. In flight test, this leads directly into violent random hiccups on pitch and it's not flyable at all.

I got a talonf7fusion. It seams to have the same type of drop in one of the gyros on pitch. It doesnt happen every flight, but its there. On dual gyro scaled, I found it on the gyro1. It's at the end of a flip, it will have one dip randomly, which in turn makes the motors and dterm spike for the remainder of the flip. It doesnt drop like the one in your video, but there is a noticable dip. It looks very similar to the roll on the log at 12:44-12:48ish in your video.

Just last week I build up quad with a FC that I had lying around (Talon F7 Fussion, with 2 gyros). On friday, while doing some corkscrews I immediatly noticed some random quick movement that I didnt commanded (i was using low rates, about 500 deg/s). Then I thought it could be the tuning, a loose cable, some motor, etc. Until I checked the blackbox I could see that, being my RC stick inputs "smooth", gyro on the pitch axis had very big spikes, which causes the system to oscillate quickly. Yesterday, I needed to unload some batteries after a race, and then I went to debug this. Problem was still there (good). Then I went to Betaflight Configurator and changed the default Gyro selector from BOTH to FIRST gyro. Problem persisted. Changed now from FIRST to SECOND gyro. Problem GONE. I guess these 2 gyro FCs can work very well when the remaining good gyro is selected. Time will tell. I also wonder, if when BOTH are selected, the algorithm makes an average of both, or thrusts the smoother one? Dont know... Good video and explanation!!!

I think I have 2 RevoltOSD boards that behave this way on FalcoX only? I kno that sounds weird! They both have a robotic/ disconnected feeling on the sticks? I wonder how much disincentive there may be, for manufacturers to include blackbox on whoop/toothpick style boards. One manufacturer seems to have had no trouble including a modest 8MB flash, amongst other unique, board-realstate consuming extras, so it's not like there's a lack of space. Seems like it'd be helpful if BBLE had a layer of adjustable transparancy between the traces, and the synced video.

Most of the time it rolls to the right, however a few times I have ha sir happen to the left. The FC is a brand new MatekF722 mini and before swapping it out, the quad flew just fine. I’ve bench tested all the motors and none of them seem to be stuttering going from minimum to maximum. I’ve also changed the motor start up time to the minimum in BH Heli and still has no difference. Only thing I can think is that’s it’s a bad gyro? The box black data shows that even when arming on the ground the roll axis starts to have oscillations that seem to get stronger and stronger... any help would be appreciated as I’m out of ideas!

If started out of nowhere, could be that or just lots of vibrations from something on it (props, motors, electrical noise, etc...). If new, make sure on bone-stock Betaflight defaults. If occurs on defaults, it is a mechanical or electrical issue.
