An Irish monk St Colmcille from the 6th century predicted that iron birds would fly in the sky one day Greetings from Ireland ☘️

I love how everyone stood up as the plane turned to face them - like a mark of respect for this huge machine and the crew who fly them.

Cool video ,I loved the front view as it thundered down the runway engines humming in tune to aviation paparazzi.

I think the defining feature of the A380 is actually how quiet and refined it is - not really thundery at all!

And the family came too, lol. Its a fantastic spot on a good day. Compare the size of the 380 to the planes following on taxiway, show just how big it is. Great shot, thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍

I have flown Emirates A380 three times into Birmingham and all the landing have been hard, I wonder if it's because the runway has undulation's, Heathrow landing are nice smooth. The A380s business class seat is the business I can turn over with ease and get plenty of kip during the 7hr flight. My first leg from Saigon to Dubai is on a B777, seats are like coffins and in doubles so have to clamber over the next door passenger. Whereas the 380 seats are set herring bone fashion. So I hope they keep using them for a long time to come.

Just think what the Wright Brothers would say if they could see that plane. It flies over my house at 12,000 ft twice a day inbound to Dulles airport in Leesburg, VA. Even from that altitude it is impressive.

What times of day? My daughter practically lives in the glide path of Dulles. Would love to watch it!!

@@annhodges2991 Every morning between 7:00 and 8:00, and then about the same time in the evening. Cannot miss it, being a super jumbo.

A real damn shame the cameraman was unable to keep the plane in the frame and in focus, as opposed to the runway lights and other spectators.

Lass than 1 minute of the plane taking off and flying. 5/6th of wasted time.
