I have had rabbits eating my purple leaf sandcherry. I found some plastic mats with spikes at the dollar store to put around it. I haven’t seen any rabbits eating it lately, so hopefully that works.

The chicken coop garden was even more amazing in person! So fun to walk thru at the Signature Experience in the evening...loved the use of so many pots and Unique Stone pieces among the plants! The whole area feels natural and secluded. Nice to just have a space to do what you want, not for show necessarily. Love your ideas and gardening philosophy, Jenny! Your NC Sandhills friends 🥰

Amazing what difference a year can make! I hope you will somehow film when you cut those trees out that have fallen. I had a tree fall in my huge Daisy Mae plant, smushed it in half! I divided it 4 ways this Spring, and it is now as huge as it was last year!! Good roots for sure!!

Hi there Jenny: Congrats! to you & Jerry on your 24th Anniversary! We hope your day is as special as you people are! I like when you told about your complete fun garden area where you just have fun and plant all that is colorful and beautiful to you at the moment! Tell me about raccoon's, they were breeding up in our attic and took out a section of our roof. Also, they enjoy tinkering around with locks(smart animals) and we couldn't open the garage with our remote. Thanks for your fun & educational video & have a great day!

Good morning Jenny. I have a PW Double Take Peach flowering quince. Just planted it last fall. I just circled it with low chicken wire that became invisible from our main use area across the yard. Stupidly I never got around to just pushing in a couple of plastic plant support stakes inside the wire, so the winter winds kept blowing it up, over and off the quince. The bunnies regularly pruned it all winter every time the wire moved. It really does protect your plant and can be left year round or just over winter til the quince gets big enough to withstand rabblit nibbles. What was left of mine did have blooms this spring but then a spring frigid night browned them up nicely. Win some lose some. Lol. Your beds are really beautiful and tho I am in Pa zone 6b, I still get loads of inspiration from you. Good luck with all your wascally wabbits.😉 🧡💚💛🐈🌻🤗😂

I have the thornless blackberry. So far this year I have, from two plants, about six gallons of berries in their first year. These plants are a little brutish. I am going to have to take them off of my chain link fence and put them on cattle panel trellis in the fall. The longest came is about twelve feet but it has been massively cut back twice and is still throwing out new cane. South Georgia zone 9a. Your garden is looking amazing.

Have you thought of putting a rain barrel in? I had always wanted one. The hubby didn’t. I bought one this year anyway. Hubby has now changed his tune. lol. I’ve been watering all my patio plants and love it. Of course I need rain to fill it up again! Will be looking to get some decorative ones for the front now that I know how well they work.

@PeggyMills5 ай бұрын
@@maureenklusaritz1080 I don’t spray but get a bucket of soapy water and hold it underneath the plant. The beetles always drop to the ground as protection, but instead go in the soapy water. They’re slower early in the morning and easier to get.

Hi Jenny, the chicken coupe area look so nice! I have a suggestion….lthink u should fill the area where the trees r and behind the chickens. With all hostas different looks and textures ,it would be beautiful. Call it Hosta Lane what do u think about this suggestion 💕🙏🏽
@GardeningwithCreekside5 ай бұрын
That’s the plan! I have a ton of hostas waiting for me in my stash. It is just too hot right now to add them, so I will add them in the fall when they can get their roots really well established outside of this crazy heat.
