Jackfrags video nailed it on the state of cod. It's always the same broken in my experience. I find playing less of cod has improved my perception of it, and that obviously is less swayed by not tying my income stream to it, which content creators will have a different perspective on. I like Someordinergamers perspective, where he has a full time job but doe YT as a hobby, I think that's the way you maintain a healthy relationship with a game, don't be too invested in it, and treat it for what it is, a game to be played and not idolized. 😂

I think anyone who has done the grind for dark matter truly knows how the matchmaking changes as you go through all the weapons. I would encourage anyone to do it just to feel how the game changes when you do it. At the same time I would warn that it will become frustrating when doing launchers or weapons that you are not good as or just don’t like.

My friends and I attempted the EE a total of 3 times, and all 3 times we died in the boss fight. First time, none of us could damage the sentinel artifact because we were all running ice staff, raygun, and dual wield pap'd gs45's and the thing can only be damaged with bullet weapons. Second run-through, after what felt like forever getting past the hardest part of the fight, which was killing the red special and elite zombies with the artifact, then shooting the artifact, we died again because we had no idea the last phase would end your game if you failed it. Third and final time, we couldn't get past the second phase because it was impossible to put in enough damage fast enough to break the artifact when you were getting stun-locked by the special zombies holding the blue artifacts, the lasers, and when people were constantly downing, mind you, this was with three players and we went in at round 18. The map has great atmosphere and sounds, but looking beyond that, the whole map felt like a nostalgia-baited nothing burger with the shortest snd easiest EE, but unreasonably difficult boss fight, only to be rewarded with a half-assed cutscene.

Whether they’re using AI or not, one thing is for sure, the developers and project managers definitely do not inspect their subordinates work before publishing.

Matchmaking has been brutal for a while now. I took a 7 month break from MW2 (2022), and when I came back, it felt just as sweaty and unforgiving as when I left. I solo queued into the season 2 moshpit and each match felt like ranked play with how hard they were trying. I played like 5 total matches. As a solo player I lost 11 straight matches to start the season, and something like 17 of 20 matches. I consistently had over 2.0 e/d every match, but it's like it refused to give me competent teammates and put me against sweat lords every match. Zero reprieve. To be fair, sniping in this game is horrible. This game has the fastest movement in a COD yet the slowest ADS time for snipers. It's impossible to quickscope in this game.

About dying to snipers, last CoD games I bought and played were MW2019 and Cold War and in both games I faced a lot of snipers despite using mainly AR's & SMG's and according to CoD tracker in Cold War I was in the top 2,7% of players. I don't own BO6 but my brother does and I've played maybe 20 games of it I never saw anyone using a sniper rifle, everyone's using an SMG. Same applies to him.

i love sniping in cod. in this one, its like shooting yourself in the foot. all my lobbies are jackals, m4s, krigs, sliding and jumping around... for me ts is not fun to go against whilst sniping. cod has been deleted since christmas, balatro has been a very refreshing break

Matchmaking is insane! Same here had not played for about a couple of weeks got in and it was so bad! Every single player in the lobby had the exact same KDR, running the exact same weapons and even played the same way. Every one had 1.6 kdr, it was like fighting clones of myself, I even started Wonder if it was a bot lobby full of AI copies of my gameplay!

At this point i only buy CoD to play with the bots and even then i wait to get it on sale and never buy anything out of the shop. Between the greedy shop bundles and the match making its ridiculous, I personally refuse to be exploited like that.

pretty early here so hopefully you see this Nero, but i have the same issue of having really sweaty games after taking a break. I'm pretty sure it's because your lobbies are always so dialed in to your skill level, and when you come back from a break you're not fully dialed in. It feels way sweatier because of that. also, play one or two matches where you don't slide or even sprint. it sounds crazy, but i did that for a while and it made my lobbies way easier. just walk around and hip fire people and it will make your lobbies way easier

I remember one time I was playing, and it was just dreadful. I don’t care about winning just the fun. But I was with a friend and stuck it out. I told myself “fk it, going all in to win if I can’t even have fun”. Pulled the W from a losing game! Sounds great.. until you learn the only reason we won was because I kept sacrificing my life to capture the hard points… even winning in this game is an awful experience

That same shit happened on Warzone got 2 2nd place finishes 3 3rd place and a win and suddenly I get paid with people who don't know how to play and when in a gun fight my joystick actually stops moving my weapon. As soon as I respawned I could ads and look around again. The only time my joystick has ever stopped working during a game, and it just so happened to be in a gun fight.

When I played cod, ever since vanguard, I would lose 8 out of 10 games. I’d do decent every match but I’d lose a lot. I think the game realized that I eventually gave up trying to win, so it would just make me lose every match.

Yo, dont need to bring my -200 to -490 skill account to this game. Thank god. If i perform over the skill value they have set for me, or if i attack someone with higher skill rating i will be nerfed. Which is basicly every single person i meet. Just to put numbers on it, this is how a -490 skill match plays out: * 10-20% accuracity(massive aim resist, aim pulloff effects, off center ads and side to side pull + almost zero hit detection) * 55 hits, 7 total damage dealth. (0,125 damage per hit)

Gonna 100% agree about the match making. I played for a good few hours last night after the update and I’d say about 80% of my games I came up against absolute sweats. Had about 4 games where I was able to compete at all. Sad times for a once great game.

I think it’s assigning us to lobbies by the way we play. If I’m sniping, it puts me with a bunch of snipers and quick scopers. If I switch over to an AR, it pulls me out of the sniper lobbies after like 2 games. Xclusive Ace had a similar theory but I don’t recall in detail.

I knew about sbmm and stuff for years but what really shook me this year was i played cod with my older supervisor from work.. we played SnD and i was spectating him sitting in a corner in a house on nuketown and some guy ran in, slide cancelled and jumped and completely camera’d my supervisor, he didnt hit a shot, and then he literally asked me how the guy did that so fast and said hes never seen that before.. i realized we are truly playing a whole different game even though were on the same game, everyone in my lobbies do that almost every challenge, me included, and he had never even seen it before, poor guy went triple negative every game and hasnt played with me since😭
