Wessex rig , 6/0 3/0 pennel on the running ledger with big mackerel or squid bait , 3/0 on the top snood with big lug bait , 20 - 30 yards out , plus walk back ,can be deadly .

hi ian , sorry for late reply mate .. this time of the year mate i would fish the great weston beach on a flooding tide after bass .... but please mind the mud !!. also highbridge / burnham sea wall or on the sand on a flooding tide , or come around the coast a bit to lilstock not to good on your ankles tho but you can fish that from low water to high on the pipe as we call it .. ian i hope that helps mate if you need any more info please ask i will do my best to help .. regards and take care

@@SOMERSETBEACHFISHINGtony I think I heard your mate say "Keep-able" 😃 We know the big ones are breeding females, so must go back for future stocks. All bass, irrespective of size can only be kept in our region between 1 Mar and 30 Nov. Would hate anyone to film themselves breaking the law - pretty much bang to rights!
