This girl gets it. Her facial expressions and dancing are exactly what I feel inside when I listen to this. My late Dad's favorite Floyd song and one of my favorite songs of all time. I have very fond memories as a kid with my Dad listening to Floyd with a pair of Klipsch corner horns in our small living room. On more than one occasion we'd have neighbors coming over to see "the live band" they thought we had or even the police coming down from a busy nearby park a block away. One memory I have as maybe a 10 year old (27 years ago), the police knocked on the door for 20 minutes... My dad ignored them until my Mom made him answer the door. The cops told him they could hear the music from down the road and they would write him a ticket if he didnt turn it down. He looked at them and said "I haven't heard this song in years", closed the door, went back to the living room and cranked it. I think it was a Floyd song but I cant remember for sure. Ill have to ask my Mom lol.

I saw this album Live on their 1977 tour in the old Boston Garden. I won the all time music lottery that night as Animals was the first set then after an intermission, they came back and did all of Wish You Were Here. The encore was a jammed out medley from Dark Side of the Moon. One of the best shows ever, you can hear audio from it on You Tube, it is well worth searching for, David Gilmour used a stinging Fender Telecaster for Animals and his signature Stratocaster for the 2nd set. They had a pioneering 5 channel PA system that was the most immersive I ever heard, the separation was like having headphones on, we were right next to the audio/video island in the center of the floor so close to the focus for it, it was astounding to experience. They were decades ahead of everyone with their show presentation. Hear it ASAP and enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥

Roger Waters was inspired by George Orwell's book "Animal Farm", while recording the "Animals" album. During their tours in 1974, Pink Floyd played three new songs in the first half of the shows, followed by The Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. The three new songs were "You've Got to Be Crazy" (which later became "Dogs"), "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and "Raving and Drooling" (which later became "Sheep"). It's about the oppressive system created by Wealthy Elite Capitalists (pigs), how the F45C15T police state (dogs) rises up to protect the status quo from Revolutionaries, and those who buy into the status quo (sheep). The context is both Roger Waters and George Orwell are Socialists (actual Leftists). Read _Animal Farm_ (the book this album was based on) and _The Communist Manifesto_ to see past the real life status quo propaganda.

It's very intentional that the opening of Sheep puts you in a trance. Because the overwhelming majority of us "Sheeple' go through life completely unaware of how they're being controlled and manipulated, anesthetized into a laconic subservient stupor. And those that are aware mostly remain docile because they're comfortable. But should the Sheep collectively awaken and decide they've had enough, all Dogs and Pigs need to run from the demented vengeance Sheep will inflict. If the revolution is successful, then eventually from the revolutionary Sheep, eventually Dogs and Pigs will arise and the entire cycle will start anew. It's human nature. And if a revolution doesn't happen, then after a brief lashing out, the Sheep will just go back to grazing. Btw, Roger, my dogs slightly resent the way they're portrayed.
