As someone who lives in Canada, I can say that attempting to live here will cost you an arm and a leg unless you move out to the middle of nowhere. There has been a huge boom in inflation in the last 20 years, turning properties that were once 200k into million dollar homes. The property themselves haven't changed much but the prices certainly have. There is an economic crisis growing in Canada as rent competes with mortgage rates both of which are very difficult to afford. If you dont live at home then you have to rent with numerous people. If you decide to buy, goodluck. I really hope this changes before Canada faces a revolution or a homeless catastrophe
@1890NativePride1973
@1890NativePride1973 2 жыл бұрын
True for almost all of Canada. Housing is still cheap in Montreal and Quebec comparatively tho. It’s starting to rise here. But you can still get what you can find in Toronto for about half the price. I think the average is 500k compared to Toronto which is 800k.
@melaniej.1858

I personally live in a city in the prairies in Canada and honestly a million dollars could buy you a pretty good house compared to the ones in this video (unless you're in the Rocky Mountains). Sure, you're not living in a multi-million population city but that's honestly probably better Edit: the average house price in a few different cities around where I am is 350-400k

As an Arizona native this is entirely untrue. We are in a housing crisis because people from California are selling their houses and moving here buying out everything with cash. Not to mention they recently had to increase the minimum wage in Flagstaff to $13.50 because people couldn't live there anymore (it's a college town and the population is really small because its so incredibly expensive). I went to a college up there for a year and had to quit because it was like $16,000 a year for a dorm room the size of a coat closet and I had a roommate. That was cheap in comparison to the apartments.

Knocked out a couple walls, painted, refloored and repurposing the appliances already in the house the entire remodel probably cost somewhere around $10,000 which literally means he now has a 3 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house with a garage for $28k.

@@OnMyLunchBreak07 It really depends on location. That's one thing they didn't mention. Anything within 40 minutes of the City costs 1 million for land value alone. When you add any house upon it, it really varies. An old 80s style horrible looking house could cost you 1-2 million depending on where it is. If it comes with any luxuries like modern looks or a pool or sea front view, you're looking a 2-3 million. However, anything outside 40 minutes can be cheapish. 800,000 in Western Syndey could get you a 3 bed house with 2 baths (which is actually very impressive in sydney O-o). But yes. The housing market is horrible in Australia. Fingers crossed for housing crash O-O

@@li_tsz_fung In Australia it's kind of different like he pointed out in his comment The property market is incredibly inflated due to terrible government policy and loose oversight on banks, so you can get a house that's an hour commute from the city and still be paying an absurd amount for terrible land, terrible property with terrible prospects (no schools, very little scenery etc). It's not even because we have a cheap standard of living either, it is purely an economical mistake due to bad governance.

I live in a countryside village. We got it for NZD$500,000 back in 2008. Now it's worth 1.7m I think because our housing market has gone up. But still, pretty good for what the original price was. Unfortunately we have one of the worst poverty lines divide in the world - generally you're either in a big house or you're in a 2-3 bedroom home with cockroaches and run down exterior walls and no warmth💀 I'm just grateful to have what I have.

The thing is that people outside the US refer to the continent as the American continent and not as the Americas. That is specially true in latin America, where we don't even call the US America.

@@fafjaafh the border between europe and asia goes through russia. The geographic border between europe and asia is the caucasus. 75% of russias population lives in europe, its capital is in europe and its government resides there too. So both geopolitically and culturally Russia is considered a european country and thus the border between Estonia and Russia is a border within europe and not an intercontinental one.
