Hi Will. Lovely footage of the Lancaster. I'd forgotten how often it widens out to create what look like ornamental lakes designed by a Landscape gardener. The aqueducts are very hidden from the canal often with just short walls. When you explore the unnavigable parts, look out for Stainton aqueduct. Its the one that partly collapsed after a storm some years ago. Theres a footpath down and a wide footpath underneath the canal. All the best. Paul.

It's up to you. You could take a heavy locked canal or an easy going summer river in summer and very few locks. I haven't done a lock for weeks now. 🤣🤣 Love it. 🫵👍👌

I also love going to car boot sales early in the morning in the summer. Some of it is tat but I've also found some real gems. Also frequently go to charity shops and have found some amazing things. Unbelievable what people give away. Love a good rummage.

So Shui is a fairweather boater, just like all those bikers out there. Bloody Hell that little oasis for women, no wonder old men are grumpy. When Shui said "Filthy thumb up" it reminds me of my local fish and chip shop owned by orientals (Don't think that is politically correct but I am old) and the name is "Alan Fish Bar" in both cases the ('s) is missed out 🤣😂. The name of my local fish and chip shop sounds like a persons name rather than a statement of a persons trade it always makes me smile when I see it. Its so nice when Summer is just round the corner and everything is so lush and green, we tend to not notice how lovely our green scepter'd isle is, was really brought home to me when my American pal comes to visit from California and she is amazed by the green lush trees and foliage, then again there is a lot of desert in California. Were those cows recharging under the pylon?

The river must be the Wyre. It was all over the news a while back after the disappearance of a woman who was found to have drowned in it, and horrible ghouls descended on the area. They are still harassing her family. That was at St.Michaels, which is the next place down the river, where it is still tidal. It flows into Morcambe Bay at Fleetwood, which is really posh Blackpool, but pretends to have nothing to do with Blackpool.
