I get what he was saying, but that was from the perception of a pre-internet society. Today, we entertain ideas that would have been considered "sufficiently advanced" by ACC's standards. And it is not that we have technologies or even advanced ideas that he would wonder at, but more that we are able to fathom infinity, the Quantum and that nothing is intrinsically impossible, unlike the generations before us.
