At first I thought it was going to be a bunch of people screaming the N word and hatchlings playing music down their mics. I was completely wrong
@LikeACrouton2 жыл бұрын
@@lewisjones284 I thought the exact same thing. I was definitely a VoIP doomer. I was shocked when I was not only wrong, but i actually enjoyed it as an addition lmao. I think it's because people who stick with tarkov are generally older than the average online gamer. The immediate tragedy of finding and ally, working together, and either succeeding or watching them die is such a unique experience.
@lewisjones2842 жыл бұрын
@@LikeACrouton I personally think it's the lack of attention that mic spammers get in this game. If you mic spam, you're getting rushed and sent back to the stash, and it's very unlikely you'll get a VOIP back. That gives you a 10k hospital bill and no satisfaction whatsoever.

I feel like its very important for people in the community to see gameplay of losses. Most players are consistently watching the top 1% of players to get tips to improve but they need to know most of us die at LEAST half the time when a PMC fight happens.

dude, the addition of backing tracks was ingenious, and your choice of pieces per section was inspired. the music adds a whole heap of intangibles - but especially in helping to transmit and invoke the emotions of the gameplay, where other creators might fill out the soundwaves with often largely trivial chat. your narration was tight, too, adding an additional dimension - context - to create a piece of really complete-feeling, engaging content. you've landed on a rich formula, RS, and i hope you find success with it hereon, not least cuz i wanna enjoy more

You are my spirit animal. You play how i like to play, you arent some cracked out 35 kd player and that makes your plays, what you say and experience FAR more relatable for me. I cant for the life of me reenact the plays our resident chads make. Or even take their advice because a lot still comes down to me hitting my shot in the first place. I had my first pmc raid today in a couple months in factory with just a pistol and played it like a solo. Took my time, repositioned and listened for info. I was able to take a pmc by surprise and although it took me 8 shots, having the surprise element clearly gave me time to miss enough before killing. I even infiltrated a scav trio and killed one before i was brutally shotgunned. The point is, i needed to hear "play to your strengths" and see that progress and enjoyment can still be made

The stories you develop through your gameplay are amazing, as everyone points out. However, what I don't think you get enough credit for is your editing, and sound design. I noticed it especially at 7:45 this watch through (my 4th time watching this video) the suspenseful sound design that you put to this interaction is insane! especially in regards to the bass hit on every single pistol shot! amazing work! it's stuff like this that though many may not realise it, adds a shit tonne to the suspense and feeling of the interactions in this video

Being a solo player in tarkov as a guy who never played keyboard and mouse before is a tough challenge. All my friends have console so. I know that you this is addressed to solo players (and you are also a solo ofc), but the way ive dealt with all the problems tarkov put me through, is by using tactics to "fight safely". This doesnt mean sitting in a corner cowering at the mere pop of a sound cue (also known as "ratting" ), but actually caring not to get shot, and using cover and manoeuvres in order to outperform the opponent. I really, really wish more people focused on survival in tarkov. And i dont mean just extracting, but focusing on "micro survival" like not getting shot at all WHILE IN a firefight, or using improvised tactics (like the door bait) to outsmart opponents. I really am looking forward to playing complete-kov. The mines, animations, medical system, improv nade traps, all of those are gonna change the way the game is being played. Caution is gonna be a must. Also, great vid to show that its not all fun and games, nobody just ploughs through everyone and everything, no matter how good they seem on stream.

@RamenStyle2 жыл бұрын
Appreciate this man! Unfortunately this is the furthest I can go quality wise until I get an upgrade. Saving up for that upgrade though! Much love man, thank you.
@John-lr3ix2 жыл бұрын
@@RamenStyle what kind of upgrade do you mean ? I only meant upscaling as in converting your video footage to 4k with software after recording, not actually playing at a higher resolution. And there is free software for that online. You probably are aware that when you watch your videos on youtube it looks worse than the video file saved on your PC despite being the same resolution, because of how youtube compresses videos, so even though the upscaling can‘t create details that weren‘t in the recording, it can help with youtube making the quality not much worse. Or does that take to long to render ? (Maybe I also misunderstood something)
@RamenStyle2 жыл бұрын
@@John-lr3ix actually what you see on KZbin is quite close to the recording footage. The recorded footage has bad quality especially with foliage around due to recording at 12K bitrate + not the best recording preset due to hardware limitations. Unfortunately upscaling wont do much. Once I get better hardware, I'll be able to record at a much higher bitrate, much better recording preset, and a higher res. Looking to upgrade by 2023 hopefully!

Players that aren't from US/EU and who don't speak english on a fluent level are like some of the most wholesome folks out there. I remember my first experience with someone like this was wayyyyyyyyyy back in like 7th grade lol. He was a Korean exchange student named Young Kong, and he obviously kept to himself. Then we found out he was in our PE class and we befriended him. You could tell it just changed his whole world having a bunch of guys who just treated him like a human being. Some braindead npcs would bully him or make fun of him at times, but we took care of all that for him and it never happened again. He eventually learned to speak much better than before and we taught him all the slang and shit xD. He was even macking on some of the blonde bimbos at lunch time. Miss that dude.

It's unsuppressed usually, but I LOVE running the mp7 as a backup for sniper runs on woods. The suppressed USP w/ ap ammo is good, but I've gotten outclassed too many times to want to use it again really. The mp7 is so nice for fighting off multiple people at once.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. This is my first wipe and I've done all of these quests already, but it was nice to see how you've done it all playing solo. You have some serious skills when it comes to patience and resilience. I've got rekt so many times even though I start shooting first that I got PTSD and I try to avoid fights and get bored fast. But... I've got one question. Why do you walk slower even though you're still making noises? If I do that in the server I play (Sao Paulo), people 100% hear it. Maybe it's easier on your server? lol GG's though!
@RamenStyle2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed this man! I walk slower mainly to have more sense of control of my player. I also enjoy how immersive it feels. So it's more of that vs making less sound hehe. Again, thank you for watching and thank you for the kind words 🙏

Iv been playing Tarkov from around 2017 . As a solo I sucked lol so hard to see people I played till 2019 and gave up to stress full lol but you videos have inspired me to try again thank you . Ps my best raids I had where when I took off my head set cranked the volume up so I could just hear it not the best way to play but if you struggle try it ..
