I went to Madeira often with various members of my family for decades - when the airport was a nightmare to land on! I loved it, the scenery and the people were amazing - the levadas where breathtaking - thank you so much for taking us along with you, you brought back some fantastic memories for me.

Great video! Madeira is beautiful! The scenery is awesome, water flowing everywhere, and the paths are so narrow. It's a wonder people can pass by. My wife and I stopped in at Funchal for a day on our way back from the Canary Islands. Never realized it was so beautiful. Keep the videos coming and a superb job videotaping the entire hike.

Sat here next to my Campervan in Ulswater. Waiting for the other half to get up. Had a canny storm here last night, lots of thunder and lightning. Madeira is very high on our list of places to go so thank you for sharing your travels with us.

definitely protective glasses needed in that wind. i would get so much grit in my eyes. i have had too many red eyes and infections due to the bad weather. so protective glasses is a must in that weather

It's a wonder you and Dina did not brain yourselves. It was such a great video I wondered how I avoided braining myself. You asked IF we wanted to see more of these wonderful videos from Madeira? YES, absolutely YES.

Great videos on Madeira pal. Did these walks last year in the sun and didn’t complete the first walk you filmed due to the heat. Love Madeira. A must for us is VEREDA DA PONTA DE SÃO LOURENÇO Then get the fishing boat taxi back. Stunning. All the best and enjoy.

Fantastic scenery, love that dynamic weather! Looking up stats on Madeira it's apparently warm all year round, but what I really can't handle is sun so maybe a winter trip.

Great to finally see something of your Madeiran adventures! Spectacular scenery and so nice to see, as we were denied our first holiday to Madeira last spring due to my late wife being diagnosed with cancer just before we were supposed to travel. Always wanted to go, so it was a massive disappointment obviously but nice to see something of it in your videos. I am bit shocked of the amount of people everywhere though, I'm not sure I would like this either and could potentially put me off if I'm honest - what a shame? But that said same for many beautiful locations around the world I guess and the FB and IG world we live in isn't helping I suppose in that sense? But is helping people see these locations from their armchairs without having to leave the house - but I would prefer to it being as was without the exposure it now has, but ho-hum. I'm sure you guys agree (double edge sword as you wouldn't have your channel). Glad you had waterproof footwear on this time - the amount of videos you have posted where you have got this wrong tut tut, ha ha! I wear my high walking boots on ALL walks they serve me well and offer great ankle support unlike and dry feet all the time unlike approach shoes - which are essentially regular trainers marketed differently (well sort of ha ha. Still get wet feet if they are waterproof due to low ankle height). Poor Dina copping the flack being small - shame on you BC, she doesn't ever give you any stick so leave her alone (small but perfectly formed like my wife was, pretty much same figure actually). Thanks again for allowing us a glimpse of your private holiday!

We did this walk as part of a small group tour starting at 6am. Was well worth getting up early for to avoid the crowds.

I did the same walk in almost identical weather in March but actually it added to the atmosphere and the waterfalls were more spectacular. Like you, the only down side is just the sheer volume of people which does detract a little from the experience. I subsequently walked some of the lesser known Levadas which were much less touristy. Great to see you in Ponta Do Sol 😀

What a wonderful walk and scenery. As for narrow walkways and sheer drops, rather you than me -- that's two videos so far! 😲 It's a shame with the over-tourism, like most places these days, I guess they'll just have to start issuing passes and limiting numbers 😥

How enjoyable was that? At first I was like "Oh no, it's not Scotland or the Lake District", but it turned out to be amazing. What's not to like...a fantastic walk, boob action, sandwiches that take you to heaven and a little driving on the left...oops! 🤣🤣 Hey you had 1089AM on the radio. Did you get TalkSport out there?

Sorry, dinner is in service so can't watch yet, but I know whist my spread is delicious, you'll always win on the visuals. I really appreciate you sharing this wit us. "Tonight, Mathew, I'm going to get 20 more subscribers!" As soon as they've hoovered, done the dishes, weeded the garden and washed and valeted the car AND washed and deep cleaned those bedrooms they slept in for free for two nights. I LOVE them dearly, but I am not their maid/Butler/hoover-weilding-furry/a-z(squared). When they see THIS, hopefully, they'll spend lots of weekends at YOUR house! Xxx
