Agenesic Nfp is always secondary above primary. It is "forbidden" in casti 59

Very well said gentlemen! It only takes a spark to start a blazing fire, and you two faithful souls are that spark in a dense black godless world where the Church which was meant to provide that light has all but disappeared.

If the primary purpose of marriage is procreation and the primary purpose of NFP is not procreation, then NFP is unnatural.
@RickGrimes-tr3ug11 ай бұрын
I’ve always wondered how people don’t get this. When you have intercourse on certain days o my to avoid pregnancy, how does this honor the primary end of intercourse between a man and woman? It doesn’t.
@AnnulmentProof11 ай бұрын
@@RickGrimes-tr3ug the solution is to invent a new primary purpose and then you can have your organic contraception. But then you get divorce / gay marriage/transgender / annulments rite along with it.

1) Is it objectively sinful to have sex, while married, when infertile? 2) Is it objectively sinful to refrain from having sex, when fertile? 3) Is it impossible to do the above while being open to procreation? If your answer to all of the above is no, the NFP is not unnatural. The Magisterium likewise disagrees that it’s unnatural. As the two in the video said, it can be co-opted and used corruptly or sinfully, but to conclude that it somehow is unnatural and therefore intrinsically evil is theologically unsound.

Is financial difficulties a sufficient reason?
@TheFatimaCenterАй бұрын
Thank you for this important question. Financial struggles are almost everyone's lot. Those entering into marriage are especially liable to such difficulties throughout their childbearing years. These things are common knowledge and common sense. The degree of poverty which might justify interfering in the natural expression and primary purpose of the marriage union is practically unheard of in Western countries today. We urge you with the greatest seriousness not to defraud God, Who brought you together into one body, of a single soul whom He intends to bring into this world and to Heaven through you. God bless you.

NFP cannot be accepted in any situation. If the can't have a new child they should be chaste: that is the teaching of Casti Connubii. NFP planning is not 100% effective (there is no method 100% effective in preventing life to happen): sperm can survive in the uterus for many days, or you could be wrong while doing the measurements. The consequence? A child. What they would do then? Abortion? Doing coitus have two possible consequences: pregnancy or no pregnancy (two possibilities with different probabilities). An adult should take responsability of his or her actions. If you can't have another child, then you can't accept the possibility of a pregnancy, therefore you have to abstain from sex.

That’s a big reply to the video. So what’s your response when today we are seeing small Catholic families (they would have to be using contraception with only having two children). I have six children myself, but as a devout Catholic of 35 years I have never come across on a homily about contraception at the Parish level? And what about couple’s with a small family (using contraception) going up and partaking in Eucharistic meal? So the couple using contraception are in mortal sin, the clergy for not preaching it are in mortal sin, and the couple using contraception partaking in the Eucharistic meal are also in serious mortal sin. Yet everyone behaves like business as usual?

The12thSeahorse I agree with you, but catholic families with only 2 children doesn’t necessary mean that they are using contraception. Many families want to have many children but maybe they can’t or one of them doesn’t agree. This last one is my case. :(

@Nathaniel Miller - Are there any solutions or that’s how it is?
@earuendil3 жыл бұрын
@Frances Hello Frances. Yes, the "Ordinary Catholic Magisterium" allows it and promotes it. And so what? Adults should be responsible of their acts. Married couples should have sex of course, with or without the intent to reproduce (preferably with the intent), but if pregnancy occurs they should be happy, celebrate it and take full responsability. This is the law of nature, we don't need magisterium for this.
@earuendil3 жыл бұрын
@Frances Well, you ignored all the other arguments. And for Casti Connubi, when says "natural reasons either of time or of certain defects" you correctly interpret infertility and menopause. If you also want to see there a reference to NFP good for you.

I'm sure that it was just a slip of the tongue, but it is a marriage covenant and not a marriage contract
@John_Malloy10 жыл бұрын
See Can. 1055 par 2 and Can. 1058 of the 1983 code of canon law. The word "contract," properly translated, is used to refer to the consent of the parties getting married and is used as both a subject, as in, "marriage contract," and a verb, as in, to "contract marriage." Marriage is most definitely a contract.
@Azygos198610 жыл бұрын
It is a contract that results in a relationship. Hence, the vows where both partake of the contract agreeing to the terms before God and man, which then results in a permanent relationship (or covenant).
