I agree totally. But for me, I prefer crashable rides. It’s like crash rides but with more stick definition 😊 I love thin, dark, and dry rides. Nice stick definition and crashable. 😊 In fact, I don’t use crash cymbals anymore. I just have a pair of hats and a crashable ride.

Maybe. Rides just dont crash well. But big crashes always crash well because they tend to be lighter AND sometimes they ride ok...There are always exceptions and it looks like you have found them.

Great logical advice. I'm glad I stumbled across this channel, really enjoying the videos I've seen thus far. Been into keys and bass my whole life and just recently really started trying to educate myself on drumming. Quick question, I saw a comment you left on a video regarding the album you recorded with AF in '09, and you mentioned there was a 'sticky issue' with the album at the time. Would you mind elaborating on that at all? I completely understand if not. Cheers!

Thx for the support. The "issue" was to do with my moving outside the USA. The Album is on Spotify. We did do 5 shows. One of which has two short clips on YT.

One mayor perk of playing in a reggae band-no ride or stand needed. Big ups to terrybozzio for negating the ride decades ago.

Great Advice! Thanks Is there a sabian crash ide you like? I'm leaning towards their Neil Pert signature Paragon series... Not buying a set ride frees up the budget for better quality

All Dark Crash/Rides by ALL the major and independents should be looked into.

heavy makes it higher thinner makes it lower

It depends. When comparison type(s) being exactly the same, the heavier/thicker the lower the range. If you have a specific example that comes to mind, let me know.
