i have played sso since 2012, and I feel like i have been waiting for like a big breakthrough that they never got to do. I remember telling my friends to download sso because one day it would be this amazing popular horse game with an even more amazing storyline, but now i feel kinda disappointed. Mby if we stopped spending so much money on starcoints, they would go back to actually working on the game and not just the horses

I agree, however I’m not sure if you know but starstable posted an article about their teams and defending themselves, some time during that they mentioned they currently don’t have a quest/ lore team at the moment and therefore the quest updates are slow

Not really. They were polygonal and chunky and very pixaly overall. The newer graphics are smoother, richer and more detailed. Sure, it’s not realistic, but SSO was never a realistic game. It’s a magical fantasy adventure rpg style game with realistic elements. 🤷‍♀️

@@artchic528 yes i know that. but they were going in a good direction with the old graphics. you should focus on the water (extremely realistic and reflective), and the sky during sunrise and sunset. those were the aspects i loved.

@@artchic528 problem is, the new graphics are way too dark, the game was supposed to resemble an idyllic swedish summer, with beautiful, vibrant colors and a nice warm feel. the new graphics are too dark and feel like too much. no matter how nicely they are drawn, it simply doesn't match the original aesthetic it was supposed to represent, and that's the biggest problem here. art style matters. you can have 4k graphics all you want, if it doesn't give back the correct feel for the game, then it was all a wasted effort.

Ah.. Back in the day (2005-2009), if you had this series (and StarShine), you were the coolest horsekid in town : D Even back then everybody wanted to know how to download these games, even though they weren't AS widely-known as they are now because obviously SSo didn't exist yet.. I still prefer them over SSO, even after 17 years, though.

As a player of SSO for 8 years I still miss the old graphics I'm happy that SSO has kept the first generation horses sadly I know they will not stay in the game forever since they want to move on with their upgrades and new style of the game. I wish there was a button in the creative menu where we could change the graphics to old.

I love playing starstable! Tho I’m a but surprised that they could make snow all those years ago and not now, it’s literally just to change all the green to white. Apparently there’s a lot of issues with doing it, and yes it might be but I still think that SSO is to lazy to do it. I mean.. When was the last time they did something properly and it came out good? Yes there’s a lot of horses but they can absolutely make them MUCH better. If they weren’t so attacked too just make fast money we would have an amazing game right now. (In my opinion) I think the arabians is probably the most realistic we will get to a real horses (that might change in some years but.. I don’t have any hope for that, I’m super excited for the new welsh pony’s, but the gaits are a little… meh) I’m gonna explain why I think the Arabians is the most realistic horse. The walk and trot looks extremely realistic (for being SSO) tho they could still fix some things in those gaits. The gallops are fine to but the canter is a little stiff (it’s looks like a rocking horse) the galopps are probably the worst of them. The back gets too short making the neck look like a giraffe. And then the armpit.. It stretches out 6miles, the horse would be great if they could fix that. Also the Arabians have a proper ass. This sounds really weird but we have all looked under the horses tails bc why not. The old horses don’t have that ”ass line” the Arabians have a great one. Just look at it it looks so real. But the horses that came out after the Arabian don’t have it. And like.. Wtf, is it even legal to be that lazy? Anyways I miss the old SSO so damn much I just want to go back in time experiencing it all over again. I can’t stand having the music on when I’m playing now because that moorland theme seriously makes me cry. Jorvik looked so much better before.. Like I was more excited when a new color of a breed was released back then, then when we get totally new horses with “realistic” animations. Ehh no thank you. I’ve bought most of the gen 1 horses, I think I have like 4 or 5 more to buy.. Heh But yeah. This was a great video, Thank you💕

I actually grew up with the original Starstable games when I was a kid before I even knew about the online Version and after I played the online Version I found out about the Starshine legacy and I played those ones too I also recently revisited the original starstable games and Managed to complete them which was a very nice throwback for me but I also want to say amazing video and keep doing your amazing content because your content is always about stuff in sso that im very interested in so yeah great work.

I love the star stable cd games, all of them even star academy and star shine legacy. It built up our storyline that sso has now ruined in way, it kind of feels like what we have left of the old sso. even though some of these graphics are choppy, the game was much more realistic in the cd games. I think the only things that weren’t super realistic was our character’s animations and the horses build. But the quest line is amazing and I love all the cd games.
