A prison stay in North Korea could be one of the worst experiences a person could have, but the cruelty and violent treatment can be amplified if you are an American. Today we're going to show you what North Korean prison was actually like for one unlucky American who got thrown behind bars! You may be thinking your upcoming vacation to the Hermit Kingdom!

This regime shouldn't be allowed to exist anymore. People with power should help the people without. Those that are standing should help those that have been forced on their knees. This must end.

there isn't really a way for democratic country like USA do anything about it except diplomacy, they can't just attack the country without good reason. They could only do it if NK attacked USA first and kills a considerable amount of US citizens. The whole point of democracy is that there isn't people with all the power like in NK that can just "decide" to attack another country

@@mynamesjeff.f from the little rsearch i did not a single european has ever been arrested and imprisoned in north korea. in total 28 people have been arrested while visiting korea. 2 from australia, 1 canadian, 6 from south korea 4 of which are still currently incarcerated and 19 from america, its worth noting that 6 of the americans arrested were of american-korean decent. and four of them illegally entered north korea from china (allegedly). Coroner said he was in a coma from lack of oxygen for too long. Yeonmi Park on the recent Joe Rogan podcast said at one point, that a method of torture in North Korea is being placed in an air tight room, and they pull most the oxygen out of that room until you are at deaths door. If I had to put my money on a specific way Otto passed, I would put it on him being put into one of those rooms.(just because the coroner couldn't see any concrete signs of physical torture, the circumstances kind of match).

Most likely, not suicide, at least not by hanging. His hyoid bone was not broken (the bone in your neck that snaps with only a few pounds of pressure and kills you fairly fast when you try to hang yourself). How could he have asphyxiated himself in a hotel room without breaking this bone? He most likely would have needed access to some sort of plastic, which, besides a shower curtain, would be difficult to get ahold of in a hotel room. But that’s not the only reason, the most important reason why I don’t think it was suicide is bc the NK government would have LOVED to have had this excuse. It certainly would have taken a whole lot of pressure off of them if they could have proven suicide. Nice and neat for them to say “see? We didn’t do this, he did it to himself, we did absolutely everything we could to save his life”.
