No need for the bombarder in such shallow water. Pluis restricted casting area. If you stick to braid, only use 2ft line as a trace rather than a long leader. Just gives you better pressure on fish teeth, plus you can feel any cut. But manually close your bail over. Looking as you do for that loop as it stops. That way you can pull it out ASAP. Only takes a second, but saves snap off 😌

Hi Martin I think you are having trouble with your braid because you are using the reel to turn the bail arm over this causes loops in the braid that turn into knots try casting and when the lure hits the water flip the bail arm over manually and draw the rod back at the same time taking the curls out of the line before winding in this will help massively hope this helps, also the tip of keeping the knot below the rod tip before casting isa also a good one also stop the bombarda float before it hits the water so it gives the lure a chance to pass the float and straiten out so the rig doesn't end up in the water in a heap causing tangles keep up the good work mate

Looks a nice spot mate.... Looking forward to trying down there when I start work that way in the new year.... Dunno why you're having problems with braid and knots, however, you don't want the FG knot or whatever you use going through the eyes.... Keep your fluro to about 4ft and the knot below the tip eye for casting.... You don't need a bombarda for using a seeker anyway 👍

Just what you have said about using a short fluorocarbon, I found out when I was using a longer one I was getting bird nests, so I up the strength of the braid to 20lb and used a shorter fluorocarbon end of the problem. Must say be carful in windy conditions also. 👍
