Rainbows are a form of chaos in Japan so maybe more like someone who is constantly shifting between sides and flavors of each side. Or that they’re a follower of abeloth. It would be interesting if abeloth once canon, is shown to be iridescent in color but is still dark and uncanny.

No. It actually has nothing to do with the Dark side at all. I have no idea where you all are coming up with these things. In canon, only Cal Kestis and Yaddle ever wielded an orange lightsaber. In Jedi Fallen Order, you could get an orange Kyber crystal as pre-order bonus and later in the platinum version. When you check the crystal, it says: an extremely rare Light side crystal showing the user was capable of extraordinary compassion. Again, nothing to do with the Dark side.

And being that it's on the other side of red on the color wheel as purple, it can symbolize someone who has personally experienced the Dark Side, and has consequently embraced the Light. Whereas, as with Windu, purple represents those of the same that embraced Dark Side emotions instead, which was his eventual undoing.

Agreed, it’s my personal favorite. I am a sucker for the blue but the prequels made me love that darker blue color such as indigo compared to the lighter almost cyan blue we get in the OG trilogy. The darker blue has always been my personal favorite and indigo would definitely be mine

Excellent point, I think orange crystals could be bled from darker emotions that aren't evil or extreme. Grief of loss leading to the path of retribution would be an extremely powerful emotion to bleed an orange crystal, and not necessarily evil in nature. Like The Punisher from Marvel, an extremely dark grey character, but they still have a clear moral compass.

I heard that in between Empire and Return of the Jedi, Luke used a Sith ritual to create his new focusing crystal, and it still came out green. That may indicate how well Yoda taught him to stay on the light side of the force.

The lightsabers in Acolyte are more yellow-ish, and in both canon and legends, yellow lightsabers have nothing to do with being a grey jedi or having an affinity for the dark side. In canon, yellow was the colour of the temple guards. In legends, it was the colour of Jedi sentinels - one of the three subbranches of the Order (the others were consulars and guardians). The sentinels sought balance between the more physical and aggressive path of a guardian and the more intellectual and force-oriented path of a consular, complimenting their skills with tech skills and the like. They were the most service-oriented Jedi, working directly with and for the people. Part of them made up Jedi intelligence and the temple guards.

Dude you should look up the Movies battles 2 Mod for Star Wars jedi academy! You would love that mod if you truly are a Star Wars fan. There are so many things that this mod has but the light saber battles in that game are the most realistic, in depth and second to none. No other starwars game is as good as MB2. I can't play anything else honestly. When I see a new starwars game or I watch a video about starwars, all I think about is playing MB2. Give it a try man and make some videos about that!

I think orange is honestly just a jack of all traits type color, one where either side can wield the color. Though of course the shade would differ based on force Alignment, light orange for light side, orange/citrus for grey, and blood orange for dark.

Neutral af like Purple. And I love the other explanation that one didn't do the Bleeding Effect all the way through. Fits Baylan perfectly, he mustve went through that during Order 66. What about Yellow? Now that I think about it, Rey would be Neutral too. Bloodline aside, she fought with anger. I remember some people wanted her to be a Kenobi, but she doesnt deserve that because she lost her cool often. I side with the Grey Order, but I think White & Black are the best colors. There's no answer for the Darksaber yet, but my guess is that its also purification, but represents that the user went through so much pain & didnt give in to hatred, bloodlust, etc. Which would perfectly fit the 1st Mandalorian Jedi. Old Luke too, because he didn't go Sith after losing Ben Solo to the Darkside.

There was also the Red non-Sith Sabres made with a Krait Dragon Crystal. They were some of the rarest Kyber crystals due to them only being found in the stomach of a Krait Dragon.

@@lassesgamekanaal It's fine if you do that, but it's not if they speak of it as an official thing in legends and canon and try to correct others for not following their headcanon. And most of the reasoning for colors = personalities is flimsy anyway. For example in legends, you can literally just swap the crystal around so nothing stops anybody from using another color. In Canon, your lightsaber doesn't change colors based on your personality changing between kid and adult. Another thing is the fact that no media actually ever has anybody going "Oh, he's using a blue lightsaber, he must be like X in behavior".

Any lore outside of Blue, Green and Red has been made up outside of the canon. It has been slowly leaked in after Sam Jackson wanted a Purple saber to be able to find himself in big fight scenes. Then others trickled in other colors. Heck, even green only showed up with Lucas because of lighting issues.

I don't know where you came up with these answers. But in canon, having an orange lightsaber means that the Force user is capable of extraordinary compassion. This is referenced in Jedi Fallen Order. In legends, only Yaddle ever had an orange lightsaber, but they never explained it as anything except a one-off crystal.
