Hi nneoma, coincidentally we are namesakes. I would love to ask. Can i do my passport and other requirements before waiting for the winter admission process so i can enroll. Or do i have to use my admission study permit to acquire my visa. I want to study at the university of manitoba

You get your Student visa stamped on your passport which enables you to enter Canada and get your study permit at the port of entry (Canada). You need your passport as soon as possible but make sure your passport expires at a late date eg. 26th April 2029

I bought the ring light in Canada and gas cookers are not used rather electric stoves. Every house has one so that’s not an issue

Stove, microwave, fridge, washer and dryer are all provided but one needs to buy furniture and cutleries

Yes, you don’t need it. Enrolment letter is for those who travelled out and their permit is about to expire. It’s proof that they are still enrolled in school

The one in Lagos usually takes longer. I submitted mine in Abuja and it came back within 5 days. I think you can book a flight but making it at least a month from today would be a safe option

I carried a big size for clothes and hair stuff, a small bag for food and hand luggage too.

It was more like a computer bag and I carried a make-up box too

For carry on luggage I carried a computer bag, makeup box and small box. The small box was meant to be for checking in but we moved the food stuff to a Ghana-must-go at the airport so the small box ended up also being a carry-on also
