What a beautiful area! I really enjoy watching your work too. It's fun to see the details that are going into each project.

You've certainly made some great progress on the roadsters Derek. With regards to the camera lady's roadster, I appreciate that there's a lot of things to take into consideration with the headers. Do you think that the passenger side primaries being unequal in length are going to hamper flow of the exhaust gases ? Always interested to hear your thoughts, it's not a criticism just an observation. Hope you and your good lady are feeling better, regards from the UK 🇬🇧🇨🇦👍

@@geofo60 Yes I would think you're right about the flow. In an ideal situation equal length runners would be best for performance. I think in our case where we're using a stock 272 Y block with a 4 barrel carb on it we won't notice anything. There are aftermarket Y block headers designed just like the rear 2 cylinders on the passenger side. This doesn't make it good, just the precedent has been set and they will work.

Hi Derek. I’m not picking holes in your work you have much more talent than me, but I think I would have run the passenger side header the same as the drivers side. I mean forwards and around the engine mount and then rearward. But would you have issues with the spark plugs if you did this. More great progress on both cars as always. Cheers take care both best wishes. Tim.

Tim in retrospect maybe yes I should have done the passenger side the same as the driver's side. In the beginning it looked like I could go back like the first two cylinders but then I put the starter in and that changed things. I thought the starter tucked in more. The spark plugs created the biggest clearance issue as they go straight in. Most modern V8s are angled.

Interesting all the things you have to adjust to get parts that are made for this type of installation ,on 32 to fit right !! Is that rearend narrower then one's you use in the past that you cut and narrowed the housing and axles ? thinking that as you said it was off a older vehicle may be not as big . Nice job come right along with both 32 roadsters ! i

@@johns9993 This rear end is 2" wider than what I normally use at 59". For my own I narrowed mine to 57". 59" will work but the owner may have to get rims that have more negative offset than what I use.
