Thank you so much for your crisp presentation. I just want to know why there exist different particle accelerators to serve different purposes.Like an example, in India, we have cyclotron, medical accelerator, synchrotron, linac, palletron, Van-de-graff, etc. We also have accelerator based on charge particle like electron, proton and ions. Can't we make universal accelerator to cater our different requirement. In short, I would like to know advantages, disadvantages, merit, demerits, pros and cons of one over other.
