you have at least 2500 people who watched/listened to this. when I try and talk about it, my Friends tell me to shut-up and Pour their beer already.

OUSTANDING video!!!! I'm just starting my journey and you really helped answer a lot of questions. I have always been interested in the scientific breakdown of everything I do.

That was quite an acid trip, I didn't know there was so much going on with hops. Kudos for doing all the research and keeping it all straight in your head while filming a video.

Great video, Sarah! I hate really bitter beers and now I know to research my hops not just follow a recipe. The Brulosophy article is worth the read. And I love your “fireside chats”. Or should I say “couch-side chats”. Very poised.

What really makes me wonder is how NEIPA style is described as low in bitterness versus west coast that is high in bitterness. The father of the NEIPA is Heady Topper and is high in bitterness. Makes me wonder how the style was defined as low in bitterness. Great info on hops. THANKS Sarah ! !

Dear Sarah, have you read "The new IPA" from Scott Janish, yet ? I found it very interesting. He breaks down the hop compounds even further. It's more on the scientific side but I find it worth the time and effort. I really like this new series of videos. Especially , the last one about the different hop products because some of those are hard to get here in Europa. If you really want to go down the rabbit hole about hop oils and how to trigger specific aromas in beer you should really give this book a try.

I'd like to see a video of you splitting a batch of the same beer but dry hopping one with regular t90 hop pellets and the other with cryo hop pellets. From taste and aroma to yield comparison I think alot of people would like to see that aswell. Cheers!

Great video, as always! I thought I knew quite a lot about hops. But then, after watching this, I had learned so much about things I never even had thought about before. Now I need to dig into the rabbit hole that are beta-acids :D

Good to know. Call me boring, but I still have my "go to" hops that I love brewing with like Citra and Cascade... but then again I like the West Coast IPA style, lol. My wife really likes American style wheat beers- any recommendations on hops for them?
