Do you count calories? Well, even if you answered no, you might be curious to know how we count calories. In essence, counting calories is just using the Atwater system of caloric averages to calculate the total caloric content in our meals. However, this system is old, and inaccurate. So much so, that a serving of almonds is actually 40 calories less in energy content than predicted through the Atwater system. Want to learn more? Of course you do!
