Great idea, I really don't worry about cost, if I did I would not be watching something that I knew previously that cost money. It seems like some people have their own opinions about this fence, if concrete and aluminum rust, that's a new one on me, my new idea thanks to you is that I will use HARDBOARD, and perhaps cedar boards in the middle to support the metal roof sheets. The wind doesn't bother me either, because what ever happens, happens, a brick wall will come down in certain conditions. Thank you for this video,

this sheet metal fence is a trend right now because it's cheap. In reality, it's a horrible product, not better than wood. It dents too easily and looks like your property is surrounded by seacans (shipping containers). The best fencing material to use is heavy-duty metal posts with composite, aluminum or wood boards.

we did aluminum L brackets screwed to the post and sleepers sit on top so they want sink and settle into dirt leaving gap between rail and top of sleeper
@johnandrewbalandra92984 жыл бұрын
Very nice explanation. Just What I was looking for. How high are the sleepers and how many can you stack up together. Don’t you need some drainage behind it?

Did you use 2.7m posts or are the 2.4m posts ok with those plinths?
@Brucelee-dw7tw4 жыл бұрын
Perfect! but the bottom of a post between 2 plinth boards is still under the ground a little bit, which will be rusted I believe.

How do you let water drain to the lower side if you bury the bottom? I'm guessing they intend to pour concrete graded for proper drainage to the street. If not you just showed people living in a hilly neighborhood how to flood their yard and house.
@mrtensed3 жыл бұрын
Firstly the fence doesn't create a watertight boundary, secondly even if it did the fence does not border the whole house...

This is a beautiful fence, is system available in the U.S.A & how does it stand up to high winds? If it available in the US can refer me to dealer. Thanks & I found the video very informative.

Jeff, you might be able to import the fencing panels from www.outbackfencing.com.au They have a cyclone grade for high wind regions. Your $US is very strong in Australia right now, so it may be a good time to buy. No harm finding out. All the best.
