I have delusions, I experience the typical "my friends aren't my friends and they're actually out to get me" one lol. I also experience a bizarre delusion that I'm actually an android/robot. It's frustrating because I'm generally a logical person, so having these beliefs that I simultaneously believe with my whole heart and also know can't be true... yeah, it can really aggravate me sometimes. This was a really good explanation imo!

I'm so glad you thought I explained this well! That means a lot to me. And today, I really needed a positive comment like that. Thank you.

i have a delusion that everyone else has been replaced by doppelgangers, and the replacements are there to observe me. if i slip up and they catch on that i know they're not the originals, then they will hurt me, so i have to keep pretending and playing along. but then i start thinking that the replacements already know that i know and are just trying to see what i'll do, and i get so scared that maybe i shouldn't be playing along, that i should run and hide so they can't keep watching me or get to me as easily. another delusion i have is that i'm a ghost, that i died at some point (past or future) but my consciousness was left behind. people can't see me standing next to them, can't hear me talking, forget about me, sometimes i can't feel my body until i look down at it or touch something. but i realized i still age and grow, which of course means that i haven't died yet, but i will in the future and i'm either experiencing my life flashing before my eyes, but in real time, or am a ghost playing out the events of my former life in excruciating detail. sometimes i do wonder if i'm just dreaming, but i can't say for sure. dreaming sounds nicer, less scary. it's what i use to comfort myself, "it's just a dream, this isn't real, it's okay, you will wake up at some point."

What if you're being asked to leave events and the cops are being called to promise you leave and you don't get an explanation.?

Some of those non-bizarre delusions are factual if a person is paying heed.

What if you have grandiose delusions in your head, but you would never speak them out loud to anyone because you know how narcissistic and crazy you would sound? Would that still be considered a grandiose delusion? If you're not willing to be outwardly narcissistic about the delusion?

I think my wife of 19 years is delusional she had a lot of stressful traumatic events in a weeks time back in March she faked a seizure one day and started talking like a baby then she said Buddha and Anubis came to her one day and told her she was on borrowed time and to make arrangements to travel to the afterlife. And she died when she was 12 and they came 3 days prior She told my daughter a “spirit guide” came to her and told her I was having affair I tried to get her help and she took off to her parents. She lost her job and got a 3 month severance she said she’s gonna make money as a podcaster, then she was gonna marketing and selling sponsorship packages, then she was gonna sell merchandise for her podcast, then she was going to be a lawyer , then she was gonna start a nonprofit and make revenue, now she’s writing a book. I told her I had a dream about Buddha the other day and she said no you didn’t I’m talking to him now.
