I really hope the fanbase would use the free CDPR's REDkit (The Witcher 3 edition) to make a remaster off The Witcher 2 for PC and current gen consoles... ofc female dwarfs have a beard... it's just not facial 😎

I love that in the throne breaker game, one of the dwarves explains that in case of war, mahakams weapon is inflation, as in they will flood the market with gold, turning your country into the Weimar republic

that's a better way of defence than "flooding the mines". Dwarves and Gnomes smithcraft is the best but Mahakam doesn't have the only blacksmith and mines of the continent.

I really enjoyed the dwarves in the Witcher 3, they are a very interesting race that I wouldn't mind seeing more of in the next game, especially the Mahakam stronghold as I can imagine it to be quite amazing and perhaps even some of the dwarvish language~

1:00 I think it's theorized they reach maturity at 50. But i don't think that's reliable information. 1:40 I don't think it's ever implied that dwarves came from another world. They seems to be natives of the Witcher World. They had to be, they don't have the gift of magic like elves and they were there before the Conjunction of the Spheres. 3:41 What about Tir Tochair ? It's said to be also a vast dwarven country, very similar to Mahakam. 4:01 I think Bobolaks can also enters Mount Carbon if they want to. They also live in Mahakam after all. 8:45 There is Dwarves in Nilfgaard, Tir Tochair.

If I remember correctly, there is a female dwarf corpse in the quest Carnal Sins. You can ask about it in the morgue and the doctor Joachim Von Gratz tells you its a female dwarf, but you are misled because she too has a beard.

Yo man, just started playing witcher 3 again but paying way more attention to the lore & whatnot while playing through it. Been watching your witcher play throughs & it’s brilliant content. Would love to see you do another witcher 3 play through on NG+. Just a casual one, doesn’t have to be as thorough as the last. Great vid yet again. Inspired me to really invest into witcher lore after loving lotr/got/tes lore.

I'm happy to hear it! I'm considering doing a playthrough on my second channel one day, perhaps playing Roche's path then leading into an 'alternate' choices Witcher 3 playthrough (so going with Triss, Ciri Empress etc.) it could be fun!

I remember in the books the dwarf know that nilfgaard will not move against them because if they so Mahakam will flood the forges and that means no steel

that's a dumb threat, Nilfgaard has its own mine of iron and its own forges. It might not be Dwarves quality but they are not dependants of Mahakam.

@@Lasu_X It is bad. Slavery is common practice there when it's forbidden in the Northren kingdoms. And it's a very brutal autoritarian regime. And i don't believe their relationship with non-human is as good as the games implies, the books give a few hints that it might not be the case. But they're just hints, not full proofs. In any case, both places have their good and bad sides.

If I remember Thronebreaker correctly they also hoard gold/money in Mahakam for defence. If seriously attacked they will flood the markets and ruin the economy with inflation

@@avatarreusi.2509 In Thronebreaker, your dwarf companion tell you that Dwarves hoard gold as a mean of defence so if humans would try to invade Mahakam, they would ruin their economy by flooding their market with gold. Except they exist on the continent for approximately 4000 years and have always dig and hoard gold while humans are present on the continent since only 500 years and elves since only 2000 years more or less. So either Dwarves have always liked to hoard and this is a poor excuse to not make them pass as greedy or the Dwarves were using that same tactic against Vrans, Bobolaks, Gnomes and Nymphes who all have a very different way of thinking than humans and different societies.

I love the history of dwarves in general I was trying to buy The Witcher 2 assassin's of Kings but I can't seem to find it do they still sell that game and if so how can I get me a copy I'm not play that one yet but I would like to very much any suggestions Witcher George or anyone in the comments

I got all three of the Witcher games as a bundle package on steam a couple of years ago. They usually have some discount during both summer and winter (don’t know if it’s over yet, though).

Depends on which console you play. The Witcher 2 was never released on playstation, but on Xbox 360 & PC. Should be easy to find a copy of the game even today. I've even got a brandnew copy in 2018.

Dwarves are small humans, that differ from 'midgets'. Midgets have proportional body part shapes, where they are just like a shrunk down human. Dwarves on the other hand have disproportionate body part sizes, in that their legs are much shorter than their torso length compared to a midget of similar height. Dwarves also often suffer from bowlegged-ness, and their torsos and heads are larger in proportion compared to a 'midget' of the same height. However, 'midget' is frowned-upon, and I guess they prefer to be called 'little people' However, I have not found a PC terminology for dwarves, so I guess that the term 'dwarf' is not insulting, or else dwarves just get no respect, and we call them whatever we feel like. I hope that clears up the facts on dwarves. Now, what is this Witcher you refer to? And what if the term 'lore'? I'm not lore-dropping here, I gave real life true encyclopedia definitions for dwarves and 'little people' I'm not sure that asking a witch or Witcher for a lore dump would help, unless said Witcher WAS a dwarf, and I challenge you to call Geralt a dwarf to his face. Do it.
