Ah, the Daily Video. This is getting to be a habit! :-) Very informative. Thanks Mitch. Take care, and don't breathe the fumes! Dan

Thanks for watching Dan. Haha it’s a lot of work but it’s kind of addicting. I see what Cleetus means when he says he can’t stop making daily videos once he gets started lol. Yes I’ll stay from that! Have a good one.

Never knew they used rivets, or that the bonding strips are metal. Would the rivets stretch over a period of time? Truly enjoy your videos 👍🏼

Hi, nice video. Bonding strips are our friend for sure. The way they put these cars together never ceases to amaze me. That tunnel ram still grabs my eye, tell me Mitch are you going to sneak it on your dad's car? Thanks again.
@MidYearMitch3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jim. Yeah they had quite the operation to build these cars back in the day. I think it’s really interesting. Haha the tunnel ram was going to be for the Misfit but it’s just for show now lol.

Thank you for the great explanation! Is there a way to fix the strips or to make new ones?

Thanks Mitch. I'm always learning from you. Have you made videos on separating body panels and separating body panels from the birdcage? My 65 coupe has birdcage rusting around the windshield and door gutter areas.

Sure thing glad to help! I haven’t made a video on separating fiberglass panels. It probably depends how bad your car is. But you might have to take the dash out and remove the hinge pillars. That might be a little tricky.. if I ever have to “skin” a Vette I will document it. Good luck! I use a putty knife and a hammer to separate panels. Some guys can use heat with the knife to help separate them without damaging the fiberglass as much.

Where did you get the book with the fiberglass schematics?

I was using the Paragon parts catalog for that demo. They have a lot of nice exploded views.

Nice vid. What catalog for parts were you using? Thanks

Hi Ernest, thanks for watching. That was the paragon catalog. I think they have really great diagrams.
