I do 4 day water only fasting because I want Ketones to help fuel my Brain. I am trying hard to get my Ketones levels up to 6 mmol for mitochondrial repair and general good health. Seems something is missing in your general education here?

@Steve-hk2yr It's impressive that you're focusing on fasting and ketosis for brain health and mitochondrial repair. Water fasting is a powerful way to boost ketone levels, as it forces your body to burn fat for fuel, leading to the production of ketones, which can provide energy for the brain and support cellular repair. Achieving ketone levels around 6 mmol/L is quite high and often seen in prolonged fasting or strict ketogenic diets. However, it's important to ensure that your approach is safe and sustainable. Here are a few points to consider: 1. **Electrolyte Balance**: During extended fasting, it's crucial to maintain your electrolyte levels (sodium, potassium, magnesium) to avoid imbalances that can lead to dizziness, fatigue, or more serious complications. 2. **Refeeding**: After a 4-day fast, it's essential to reintroduce food gradually and focus on nutrient-dense, low-carb foods to maintain ketosis and support your body's recovery. 3. **Monitoring**: Regularly monitor your ketone levels, blood glucose, and overall well-being to ensure that your body is responding positively to the fasting regimen. 4. **Consultation**: Working with a healthcare provider or a nutrition specialist familiar with ketosis and fasting can help tailor your approach to your specific needs and ensure that you're getting the full benefits without potential risks. Your focus on mitochondrial health and brain function is commendable, and by refining your approach with these considerations, you can maximize the benefits of fasting and ketosis.

DKA is different than just being in ketosis. It is ketosis but not the same as a non diabetic ketosis.

Absolutely, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a serious complication of diabetes characterized by extremely high blood ketone levels and acidity, distinctly different from the controlled and typically safe ketosis seen in non-diabetics pursuing a ketogenic diet.

But exogenous ketones are not a diet. It is different from DKA…. diabetics can take ketones exogenously and not be in DKA.

get this man out of here with this horrible video. I came here to get more info on what are ketones and why they are are important and you talk about ketoacidosis. Like what? Two different things. Ketoacidosis comes from stravation not a Keto diet to enter Ketosis and tbh if you are diabetic you should do Keto. Like what are you talking about, this video is called misinformation.

Thank you for your feedback. While our video aims to cover various aspects of ketones, we appreciate your input and will work on clarifying the distinctions more effectively. ❤️
