What Are OBS Profiles And How Do You Use Them

Thanks AJay and sorry for your loss last year… I’ve only just sent this video. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for, thank you so much for this explanation. If you still read these comments a year later here’s a question: when you set up your Funeral Profile is this for a Private viewing and does the software (Vimeo or KZbin) create a new link for each stream? Our church uses KZbin and if we set up a Private Stream we have to email the newly created link to each individual we want to invite to view the Private stream… which is a bit cumbersome. Sorry for your lost Ajay, praying for your strength. I didn't know what the profiles were for. I just thought if you had another person working with you, you could set them up with their own profile. Anyway, I saw a chat box appear with OBS in your video....does OBS have a chat box now? Please let me know if you did a video about it.

Sources are universal. Profiles are only settings for OBS

(Sam) may you feel God's comfort at this time. Can you make an exact duplicate (named A and B) that works immediately you switch: OBS to YT, everything fine for 20min, then upload speed sinks with YT closing and the stream switch doesn't make any difference. Restarting OBS takes too long, so if i bring up profile B and hit stream button again will it recover in YT or would I have to close and restart YT to create before invoking profile B (at the moment when it happens and we Zoom too, I leave OBS alone, restart 'YT create livestream' then click streaming in Zoom (same streamkey etc already set up) and continue streaming to YT from Zoom (little ZOOM in the corner - we'll live with)
