What are PFAS? Per and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as PFAS, are a diverse group of human-made chemicals used in a wide range of consumer and industrial products. Certain PFAs are found in cosmetics like: lotions, cleansers, nail polish, shaving cream, foundation, lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara.
What products are high in PFAS? More than half of US and Canadian cosmetics contain toxic chemicals. What's worse? The majority of products with high fluorine, including those confirmed to have PFAS, had no PFAS listed on the label.

5:13 PM This is very informative. Thank you so much for breaking it all down. I read 3 national news articles and non was broken down like this. I’m hoping it has so little that would be in my blood. It would take a small fortune to replace mine and my daughter’s cosmetic & skincare. Me aging, her eczema and sensitive skin. I just subscribe too. I have dry eye. Thanks again!

I have a question. When I went to the fda website to see examples of what ingredients to look for, one example is trifluoropropyl cyclopentasiloxane. I have yet to find this full name listed on any product I have but I have found several that just list cyclopentasiloxane. Do we know if they're leaving the fluoro part out or if it's a different compound altogether? Thanks

Se entiende que al ser quimicos eternos, ya prácticamente todo esta contaminado. Pero su producción deberia estar prohibida, mas aun su adición intencional a productos de uso alimenticio, de uso médico, y de cuidado personal.
