Love how you explained that! Super helpful! Thank you! Now... I've always believed "engagements" were "interactions"... People liking, commenting, sharing, etc. I just posted a video on my brand new FB page. It shows 2 reaches and 1 engagement BUT, there's no likes, comments, or shares. I'm not understanding :|
@chia-luenlee43133 жыл бұрын
Hi Tracy! Thanks for the comment & question 🙂 Facebook also counts video views (for at least 3-seconds) as "passive" engagement now, so I bet that was it!

Thanks for the video. Engagement vs. Interaction ? Can you answer this.
@chia-luenlee43133 жыл бұрын
Hi Madhuri! Thanks for the comment & question :-) Interactions are types of engagement. For example, when someone "likes" your post, that's an interaction. When someone "comments" on your post, that's also an interaction. And the same goes when someone "shares" your post: these are all interactions. And they're important because these interactions are used to calculate your "engagement rate". For example, let's say you have 30 followers and for one of your posts, you get 10 likes, 10 comments and 10 shares ~ your engagement rate would be 100% (30 followers and 30 interactions means 100% of them engaged). But since real world math is rarely so easy, we can always calculate your engagement rate for that post to check it :-) First, you would add up all of the interactions, which would give you 30 (10 likes + 10 comments + 10 shares). Then, you would divide that number by your number of followers, which would give you 1 (30 ➗ 30). And then multiply that number (1) by 100 to get the rate = 100%. Your engagement rate for that post would be 100% (which makes sense because if you have 30 followers and you got 30 interactions for that post, then 100% of them engaged with it, which is a dream come true... I wish I had an engagement rate of 100% 😜) Sorry for the long answer, but I hope this helps!

@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 🤗 Your "social media engagement rate" measures the amount of social media interactions (likes, shares and reactions, etc.) you're getting. So if your posts have high engagement, you're getting lots of interaction. Hope this helps! 💪

Wow lovely contect, thank you! Is there a video on how to get charged for impressions on FB ads? I just started on fb ads advertising products but I got charged around $1.56 per landing page. I thought it be better impressions rather than being charge for landing page?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hi! 👋 And thanks! 😊 So it depends on what your goals are with FB ads, your audience size, intent level and funnel structure. Generally speaking, impressions will probably cost less, but since we don't know whether the viewer will take further action after seeing the ad, they may not be as effective... unless your goal is to simply increase brand awareness. Paying per landing page (CPC) may be more limiting in terms of volume, but can give you a larger number of viewers who will take action. Of course, there are a slew of other factors that may affect your results, and your decision on whether you use "impressions" or "cpc". I'll try to create a video about this in the future. In the meantime, I hope this info helped! 💪

Hey Chia! Which one is more important in terms of being in favor of the current algorithm? For context: If its impression, I'd like to focus my strategy on sharable content, and if its reach, I'd like to focus my strategy on DM'ing & commenting on many new accounts as possible.
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
初めまして ユウキニールさん! 👋 It depends a bit on the platform, but it seems like you might be referring to Instagram. Generally speaking, you want to focus on reach and engagement. Impressions are important too but the algorithm will favor content that is more engaging (i.e., has more interactions) which means that, in turn, it will show engaging content to more people (more reach). Being active on the platform and engaging with your community is a good strategy, in addition to, of course creating awesome content! 📷 I hope this helps a bit 💪 ありがとうございます 😊 頑張って!

Thanks for your video, i can see that your video explains about the difference of reach and impression in facebook. Does it have the same definition on instagram?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hi Martin! 👋 Yep, Instagram treats "reach" and "impressions" just about the same way that Facebook does. Instagram reach measures the total number of *unique* accounts that have seen your post or Story, while Instagram impressions tell you the total number of times that your post or Story has been viewed. Hope this helps! 😊

Is Social Media Reach the same as Engagements? For example, I did a post on LI for my company and we got 12,633 Impressions and 173 Engagements. What does this tell me when trying to explain the analytics?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hey Chandra! 👋 So: ▪️ Impressions = how many views your post got (remember that the same person can view your post more than once) ▪️ Social Media Reach = how many people saw your post (*Unique* Impressions) ▪️ Engagements measure the number of interactions your post got: clicks, reactions, comments and shares, etc. Your rate of engagement (based on Impressions) for that post is calculated using those figures: Engagements divided by Impressions multiplied by 100. So, for that post you mentioned, your rate of engagement would be: (173 ➗ 12,633) ✖️ 100 = 1.37%. This can be useful if you have any sponsored or paid content, and you want to measure effectiveness based on Impressions. You can compare how well that particular post is performing compared with other posts. I'd also calculate your rate of engagements based on *Unique* Impressions too ((Engagements ➗ *Unique* Impressions) ✖️ 100) . Looking at both of these metrics will help you get a better sense of your progress... Hope this helps!! 💪

What option should i selected if I'm selling some thing through fb ad. Or what kind of post I should choose for ad, like photo or video? Which gets more reach or sale?
@chia-luenlee43133 жыл бұрын
It depends on the ad creative and the product / service but I would generally recommend that you try running a Facebook campaign with a reach objective, also capping your frequency to avoid showing your ads to the same people over and over again (which can lead to ad fatigue, decreasing your conversions). A video can help you get more attention, but a well-done image can also get the job done - play to your strengths! If you can create a really engaging video, go for it! But if you're much better with still images, then I'd do that instead... hope this helps!! 💪

To post to the top What percentage is appropriate? Like, Impression, REACH, PROFILE VISITE Percentage
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hi Jun! I'm afraid there isn't a one-size fits all answer to this. It depends on the size of your account, your industry/niche, and the type of content you create, etc... among variables. For example, average reach rates for Instagram stories range from approximately 2.6% for content related to publishing to 5.4% for fashion. Average impression rates for Stories also range from, roughly, 2.7% for publishing to 5.6% for fashion. And the figures look different depending on the size of the account. Generally speaking, as you grow and get more followers, you can expect lower rates, which is a typical result of scaling up. Hope this helps!

If someone shares my original post, and that shared post receives 100 impressions, do these 100 impressions get added to MY impressions on my original post?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hey Christine! Yep, if they share your post (and don't use other methods to make it appear like their own organic content), you'll see these 100 impressions in your analytics. It seems like you're referring to FB, in which case you'll find these impressions (from shares) under the new(ish) metric "Viral Impressions". Hope this helps! 💪

Does it count if I look at my own posts twice?
@chia-luenlee43135 жыл бұрын
Hi Jadeja! 👋🏻 It depends on the platform ~ for example: Twitter doesn't count your own views, YT does (until your video hits approximately 300 views, then a vetting process is activated), and when our PPC manager ran some tests on Facebook recently, he noticed that FB does count your own views. Hope this helps!! 🙂

How to get blue tick for me as I am working with government as deputy secretary?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hello Andlib! The only way to get a blue tick on Twitter is to 'verify' your account. Normally, Twitter has an application form for this (verification.twitter.com/welcome) BUT, unfortunately, verification on Twitter has been on hold since July 2019, and they have yet to announce when it will be open again. I'd bookmark that link and check back every once in a while. Fingers crossed that Twitter verification opens up again soon!! 🤞

Hello, i have a confusion, if i views my story 100 times from my account where i upload the story...is that count as 100 impression or zero???
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hi Suraj! Instagram counts a single view from each individual account that watches your video (for more than 3 seconds). So, even if you watch it 100 times, it will only count as 1 view (yes, it still counts if you're watching from the same account that posted the video). Thanks for the question, hope my answer was helpful!! Have a good weekend! 🙋🏻♀️

What it means when I get more than 4500 impressions for my different twits per week ?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
Hello! 👋🏻 This means that your Tweets have been seen 4500 times per week- this can be from Timeline or Search Results. The important thing to keep in mind is that a single user can give you multiple impressions: so, if a user sees your tweet once in their Timeline - and then sees it a second time after 'refreshing' their Timeline, this counts as 2 impressions (so, in this example, 1 user has given you 2 impressions). Hope this clears things up a bit! :-)
@parwezshahid504 жыл бұрын
Thanks.
@JForro4 жыл бұрын
So if example i have 1k reach then 10k impression is the ads is good or not?
@chia-luenlee43134 жыл бұрын
If you have 10k impressions and 1k reach, this means that on average, each person saw your ad 10 times (10,000 ➗ 1,000). In general, you want more unique people (reach) to see your ads vs. the same people seeing the same ads over and over again (esp. since this can drive up your costs and result in ad fatigue). One way to do this is by setting up reach-based campaigns and then capping your frequency at, for example, 3 (this means that your ads won't be shown more than 3 times to the same people - you can choose any frequency, I'm just using "3" as an example). This should help bring your reach closer to your impressions, so that more people can see your ads! 🙂 Hope this helps clear things up a bit! 💪

Yep :-) If Person A and Person B each see it once, and then Person B sees it a second time because Person A shares it, that adds up to 3 impressions. Good catch! Thanks :-)

not clear... times it is shown and times it seen??
@chia-luenlee43135 жыл бұрын
👋Hi! Yep, I think the Facebook feed is a good example of this - so, if 2 of your friends share the same post on Facebook, then that post has 2 impressions (because you will see that same post in your Facebook feed 2X), reaching 1 person (You 😊). So, Impressions = 2, social media reach = 1. Of course, this doesn't take into account all the other people who will see that post, just an example on an individual basis... I hope this helped a little! Just let me know if you have any other questions!
